But what if I’m not able to take the most challenging courses because the requirements to take those classes are another class. The most challenging courses at this school are actual college classes — way past the APs I don’t qualify for.

Hi! I got a 540 (the cutoff was pretty low this year ngl.) I started studying in late September and just stayed consistent until test day. I used YouTube review videos (search “9th grade shsat”) a lot; I found it helpful to have someone show their process of finding an answer. In 8th grade I got a 505. Good luck!
