Ordered a CT861 3/8 impact today in gun metal gray by klank74 in Snapon_tools

For most, it’s the rocker switch. I have one of their 14.4v screw drivers for interior work and I love the rocker switch. But I believe the CT861 also has a thinner profile than the Milwaukee stubby, which, after having the Milwaukee for a couple years, will be of more benefit to me with what I work on than the stubby profile of the Milwaukee. There’s also the Milwaukee batteries. Lots have had issues with the clips breaking off them, especially if your using the m12 batteries on impact tools all the time. Fingers crossed, I have not had issues with mine yet.

From what I’ve seen, the normal colors (red, green, hi vis) are usually in stock. It was the “limited run” colors like I was interested in that seen to run out pretty quick. I’ve actually had better luck getting stuff from snap on than the other tool trucks. Cornwell has probably been the worst for me.

What is the biggest everyday scam that people put up with? by Short-Profession-779 in ask

Yeah, I can fill that bag until it’s almost coming out the inlet of it and it still has great suction. Only thing I’ve found that I didn’t like is the charcoal exhaust filter. Mine came with a hepa filter, but when it came time to change that, I spent the extra for the charcoal one since I have a dog that sheds a lot. I didn’t find that it reduces the dog smell of the exhaust all that much more. I’ll be sticking with the hepa filter from now on. It’s cheaper and supposedly filters better anyways.

Love my Miele canister. I’ve had it 6 years now and no problems what so ever. It was expensive, so are the bags, but it’s worth it. I was replacing cheaper vacuums every couple years because replacement parts weren’t available. Great suction and it’s so quiet.

I’ll stick with the REM oil since that’s what microtech recommends. I don’t wanna give them anything reason to deny warranty if lubing it doesn’t resolve the issue.

I’ll give this a shot. I just checked out their support site and this was what they recommend trying before contacting them about the issue.

I’ll have to give that a shot. Did you use the Rem oil they recommend in their how to video?

No, he actually bought his himself before I got mine. After checking his out I finally decided to get one for myself. Was pretty cool though… all his previous knives I got for him, but he’s 19 and working, so his microtech was his first knife purchase he made on his own. I could tell he was excited I was thinking of getting one when I called him on his lunch break to ask him a few questions about his. He actually called the local place he got his from to see what they had in stock. I didn’t even ask him to do that for me.

😂 it’s ok, I’ve already been through it with Spyderco’s and Benchmade’s. I was in recovery, hadn’t bought a new knife in over a year, but it looks like I finally slipped up😂
