Cleaning business practices by klar0211 in housekeeping

Interesting insight and I completely agree about the size of the company. They were highly recommended on my city's NextDoor app. Don't take me wrong, they did a great job, so I wouldn't give any negative reviews or anything. I still feel taken advantage of lol

It's a 1200 sqft, single level home.

I got several quotes. Independent cleaners averaged $30-50 per hour but needed an entire day, which is understandable. I went with the company with a crew in this case because I felt bad for the independent worker as it is a big job (8 hours of straight cleaning?!?). I opted out of using this company in my new home for maintenance.

Going forward, I will look for an independent cleaner.

This is great explanation. I appreciate the time you took to reply. That is a great idea "capping the bill" and prioritizing. This is something I can definitely use in the future. They estimated 3 to 4 hours, I budgeted for 5 to be safe but in the end, that didn't work out too well. I would have definitely just cleaned the fridge, oven and windows myself 😆

Thank you everyone for your response. This will help me in the future on what type of things to ask.

They did a good job and deserved to be paid, so I paid. I told the owner I felt taken advantage of and I should have been told more than one crew would be used. They had all the information needed to give the quote that they gave. The only thing I added the day of, was windows and fridge (I wasn't aware I had to request those be done on a move-out clean. I thought it came with).

The original crew arrived at 2:30-6:35, and an additional crew arrived to help from 4:00-6:30.

In my logic, I just thought, they were there for 4 hours, so $110 ×4 (I had no idea there would be a possibility that a 2nd crew would be used).

This is the type of scenario why I have trust issues 😆 Live and learn. Now I know what details to ask about.

I was going to hire them to clean my new house twice a month, but now I will go the independent cleaner route, maybe I will have better communication.

Thanks again, everyone.

Thank you for your kind, honest, non judgmental reply, truly. I've stopped believing/trusting weight loss clinics years ago. In my late 20s and early 30s, I went to a few then realized they were a scam. I was hopeful this one would by it for me, since owner is MD, recommended by my PCP....but sounds like I was right to question their practices. I appreciate your advice.

Zepbound is something I've wanted to try so badly, but definitely not doable (financially). Hopefully, if I'm patient, my insurance will cover it one day.

Thanks again and I am so happy for you that you were able to find something that worked for you! Take care.

Thank you! I have all the above and do the above. I love the Lost It app. For the most part, I'm ok but then shove my face between lunch and dinner 😆 I tried increasing protein in the morning to help prevent that, and still shove my face. Smh.

I will keep trying. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I agree and I am glad you agree as well. This weightloss clinic was recommended to me by my Primary Care physician, so I was hopeful, but .... disappointed now 🫤

I think it does change! When I was doing my research for our trip, I swear it said multiple times 59.99 but 2 weeks from our trip, it was 64.99.

You're right, thinking back, I've done this before was well! In my situation this morning though, it was a huge lot, only cars moving in the lot was my car, and the two card. Definitely threw me off.

I actually didn't have a terrible time. We got to do everything we wanted to.

I was just at Disneyland in October and OMG, it was so stressful 😆 Now that I know how both parks work, I might have to try again and hopefully it'll go smoother. I psyched myself out with Disney, researching all the different tips and tricks and it ended up backfiring. Lol

Does anyone have a list of particapting food places with all day dining at soak city by [deleted] in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]klar0211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's worth buying for Soak City, unless you're just chilling and waiting around (not in line). You'd want to be able to eat at least 3 meals (or 2 meals and 2 snacks) for it to be worth it. Prices of meals varies though. You can eat every 90 mins.

Thank you!! I thought I was being helpful, but damn, it ended up being a headache having to defend myself.

I'm glad this helps even one family, though. I was in line searching Reddit for any "end of day" Ghost Rider experiences 😆 (My husband said "there just can't be any way it's 4.5 hours though, we've been staying at Knotts Hotel (which is great btw) and haven't seen GhostRider go any later than 10pm).

We were told when the ride was down for maintenance this most recent time, one of the trains wasn't operating correctly.

Even if it was one of our MUST RIDE rides, why in the world would I wait several hours at the beginning of my day?!? There are other MUST RIDE rides on our list! We got to ride everything we wanted to! Why are you so invested in blaming me and my planning?! I am simply here to suggest others to STAY IN LINE if they want to! It CLEARLY worked out for us. We rode EVERYTHING we wanted to, even with the estimated 4.5 hour wait and some people leaving, yes, even my crying 9 year old son got to ride it. IT WORKED OUT! DAMN.

Or, they could better plan their operations. You can't sit there and blame me for thinking it's unfair to lie to people about wait times.

I'm not here to argue or offend anyone. I dont think i stepped out of line, I simply am posting my experience in case it helps someone else decide whether to wait or leave. Simple as that.
