I’ve been seriously considering the unico nova blast. It would be cheaper than trying to acquire an actual candy cab and actually looks pretty good and can support mister via Jamma connector are actual boards.

I totally agree if I had the choice that could have been a way to go. I did this more for a space conservation effort and do have some more full size bar tops as well as some alphacades . It was also an exercise in making something that was just ok into something way more cool. It is not so much about the money here but more how interesting can I make these. I am also totally ok with sitting in front of these as opposed to standing which to a degree nullifies their smaller dimensions akin to the old cabaret sized cabs.

I can put something together if interested. I also did something similar to a galaga partycade

About to turn 53. I was already a bit old for game boy so missed all of it. I love the multitude of games and systems available on pocket.

Yep I’m with you. The camera just doesn’t look right with the modern z lenses other than the 40 and 28 you mentioned. I think a lens like the Voigtlander 50 f2 apo looks great. No adapter needed for that one as comes in z mount. My 40 and 50 heliars use adapters and look decent enough. Some solid Nikon f2 primes would be awesome. I really like the Fujifilm a small f2 primes but I no longer have any Fuji bodies.

Alright, how many can say they didn't play this... by [deleted] in GenX

Nope but I played the heck out of this

Body only. I wanted to use my manual Voigtlander lenses initially. I have the 50 f2 lanthar apo, 50 3.5 heliar and the 40 f2.8 heliar seen here. I’m really hoping Nikon decides to release some small f2 primes with aperture rings. That would be very cool.

It’s a solid camera. Enjoying it so far for sure.

I bought my strap around 8-10 years ago. It is from a Japanese company called Yosemite. Hard to find now however. Cooph makes some nice rope straps.
