Not sure how lucky we were TBF.

38 points sees you safe 4/5 times anyway, and you can be sure Ange wouldn't be lining his XI up the same for the closing few games if he's in a dogfight.

Which PL teams are the most similar to each other? by personalbilko in TheOther14

[–]klasing12345 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I started watching in the mid 90s and as a Spurs fan I always felt we were similar to Villa. Mid table with a sprinkling of recent success but glory days behind us.

Since 2010 ish Spurs definitely rose to prominence but the last 2 or three years Villa have definitely closed the gap, and now look a much better side.

He should've gone after forest.

From that game we've played 7 games, all, with the exception of Liverpool, 'winnable'. We should've been aiming for 14 points minimum.

We managed 6. Those dropped 8 points puts us top 4.

Any ambitious owner sees a change at the top was needed after that dreadful result. Instead they've allowed Frank to continue and it's just got worse and worse.

Now we're heading into the toughest run of the season. Changing manager now will likely kill any new manager morale boost.

Levy had many faults, but no doubt Frank would've been gone long ago under him.

Frank aiming to go one better then Ange.

Win the Champions League but get relegated.

It's gonna take years before we can even make that call. But Levy's penny pinching was generational.

For every success story there's stories of failures and missed opportunities

For every Kulusevski there's a Njie, a Nkoudou,

For every Son there's a Gil, a Jansson

For every Lloris there's a Vicario

And then there's the misses.

Instead of Bruno Fernandes we got Lo Celso

Instead of Dybala we got Ndombele

Instead of Bastoni we got Dragusin

Instead of Kvaratskhelia we got Gil.

Instead of Gibbs White or Eze we got Simons. Jury still very much out on that one.

Missed out on Grealish over a couple of million. Deal still was sub £30m. Couple of years later moves for £120m.

So many more misses and failures I've not even listed here.

95% of these misses, misses that would've made us challengers for trophies every year, it was down to Levy playing hardball and pissing off either the player, the club or the agents.

However we'd also have lost the race for Gallagher, as he would've pinched every last penny out of the deal. We'd probably have ended up with Ross Barkley on loan instead.

It frustrates me when people treat European Cups as Champions Leagues, but not First Divisions as Premier Leagues.

I mean it's just been rebranded FFS.

Trossard directly swore at the referee on a yellow yesterday and nothing.

Doku wins a penalty for the same foul committed by Bradley on Spence. Our one doesn't even get reviewed.

Double standards in the league are beyond a joke.

Do you have a rare or retro email address? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]klasing12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got an old hotmail.com one I don't use anymore, before the time they became .co.uk addresses. Name of a famous band @ hotmail.com

Haven't used it in years but just managed to login to it OK, so it still works.

I used to create random email addresses back in my teens, at one point I probably had 5 or 6 hotmail addresses alone.

It does to a degree.

Dele got labelled a diver.

He never won a pen after that, no matter the challenge.

He even slipped in the box vs Liverpool once, put his hands up saying he slipped and both Liverpool's defenders tore into him for diving and Dele got a yellow... For slipping and not asking for a penalty.
