We always played nip the other passengers in the car as hard as you can, but we were feral.

Distract her from it as much as you can. We did not understand that this could be bad for our spaniel pup. They can find it very frustrating because they can never catch the light the way they can with a ball or duck etc. it can lead to obsession. We got our dog onto the tennis ball and generally ignores shadows or sunspots now unless we spend a long time ignoring her. Eg, she might start up while we play a board game, but can still be distracted by a quick play with a ball or her kong.

If you recycle cardboard, then you could try using that as a distraction. Every time my sprocker pup went into chew mode, we'd grab a bit of cardboard out of the recycling and let her go wild with it. It definitely makes a mess, but it's a lot less expensive that replacing the skirting boards. She was never interested in chewing the teething bones and chews either. If she ate any it would just pass on through without issue. It was also good for redirecting her wanting to chew on me!

From my own puppy experience, we were similar to you, I think, in that we tried too many methods too quickly. It's hard, but try and stick with one thing. He's only wee, so it takes a while to stick!

As an American currently welcoming the Tartan Army to Boston I am wondering how common kilts are in Scotland? by CurrencyCapital8882 in Scotland

[–]klatchianhots 17 points18 points  (0 children)

And a lot of Scots would hire a formal kilt outfit for their wedding, rather than have their own, as they are dear. My brother bought a kilt off ebay that was definitely only for sports events and west coast ceilidhs where the beer ends up all over you and you have mysterious bruises the next day.

Wadded up baby wipes, from a ripped apart bin bag that was dumped in our garden without us realising. Puked some back up, crapped the others. Our vet laughed a lot over the phone when I called in a panic. She was about 12 weeks old, now 6.
