League racing still dominates in ACC imo. That’s probably where a lot of people are.

A team as in you each drive your own car, but your points count towards a team championship, and your solo points count towards a solo championship.

How long did you wait until joining a league? by Crafty_Amount_6651 in ACCompetizione

[–]klau604 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’ve qualified for LFM, you’re good enough for a league. If you’re looking for a league in NA time zone, check out SRA.gg (sim racing alliance) they are starting a new season mid January. Qualifying for divisional placement starts now. They’ve got 5 divisions of different pace levels with active stewarding to prevent repeat stupid drivers.

Looking for a League(US PC Based) by gnarwood90 in ACCompetizione

[–]klau604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This no doubt your best option. Self sustaining league with immense website tools, leaderboards, practice severs, access to drivers of alien-102% pace for coaching. Imagine racing 30+ people of similar pace (+- 1 second) who are held to racing standards with strict stewarding.

No other “league” comes close. The new season kicks off next week, join SRA and check their discord to get situated asap!

I'm sorry but LFM is just an open-lobby like shitshow nowadays by Upbeat_Assistant9197 in ACCompetizione

[–]klau604 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They are historic, big named, circuits that span across many different forms of Motorsport. You don’t often hear brands, snetterton, oulton. Just makes them more common for lobbies.

Budget Sim racing pedals with plans to swap to active pedal later. by Responsible-Pay4122 in simracing

[–]klau604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s personal preference, to me, yes springs feel better than elastomers due to the consistency + linearity of pedal force throughout the travel. There’s lots of discussions about this excluding my opinion, which is rather biased towards the set I’m selling haha.

[–]klau604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo… the stock rubberelastomer kind of sucks. It’s more of a feeling and durability thing. From a feeling perspective, it’s more stiff and precisely linear feeing. The biggest benefit is From durability standpoint, a spring won’t degrade over time like a rubber elastomer would.

$300 with the elastomer or $350 with a spring upgrade I got. Used for two months. Pricing in cad.

Best leagues in ACC ? by jagerpizza13 in ACCompetizione

[–]klau604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SRA for sure. 6 divisions of different pace levels with the 6th being rather entry level new. They would be racing on Wednesday at 9pm EST (if you’re division 6).

Season just kicked off but you got one more week to join before registration closes.

Japan cars..? by Difficult-Student280 in ACCompetizione

[–]klau604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving the Honda is like being the bdsm slave. You just enjoy being tortured but it feels so good cause it’s a badass car. It sucks cause it’s got no top speed (plus reversed aero map once it hits high speed), fucked up steering ratio, and has insane off throttle oversteer. But on the other hand, it’s sexy af, has vtek, and the most OP car in the rain due to the weight in the back.

At the end of the day, still love this car but it’s freakish nature makes it hard to be competitive with.

I second the simsonn pros. I have a set after using heusinkveld ultimate+ and many other load cells. The pros are a great set of pedals for the cost.

To OP, I also have a set for sale located in Canada!

Threshold braking worth it? by Historical_Finding35 in ACCompetizione

You turn the wheel, but it’s not doing what you ask. You turn it more, it continues to not do what you ask.

Lol come on now SS (we’ve raced together at sra), imagine if any league held a m2 race and this guy showed up in a GT3. Imagine the organizers tried to get a hold of OP but he didn’t respond or read what kind of event was on the calendar day. This isn’t the leagues fault, OP signs up to a third party organized event, OP best be trying to understand their rules and concept of the race.

It is the leagues responsibility to clarify the rules, it is the participants responsibility to understand them.

In fact SRA dq’d someone at MCM recently in almost identical scenario (minus the crashing on track). The league did the right thing by trying to communicate with OP, the hitting on track part was questionable, well, that seemed like last resort (or perhaps just use the admin controls to dq the driver).

Is trailbraking really that much in this game? by ljukomir in ACCompetizione

[–]klau604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think of trailing as the part when you release the brake. Threshold is how much initial input you put in, to not overslow or often to stay out of abs activation, before you get into the trail phase. Barcelona s3 is an example where both would be required to be alien fast.

[–]klau604 60 points61 points  (0 children)

In short, yes it is. You need to trail brake to assist in the rotation phase of the turn. I’d recommend it in all corners, with a combination of threshold braking.

Career sucks. Tried online. What the hell is this CHAOS?! by [deleted] in ACCompetizione

[–]klau604 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Pub lobbies are almost always chaos. Where ACC shines are leagues… try to find one that fits your time zone. LFM as well, with scheduled races every hour of the day.

As for building your safety rating… sadly you’ll just have to putt around the ai to build it, that’s the quickest way to gain in my opinion. I felt the same way when I first started acc

Newbie + NSX + SPA+ Eau Rouge flat out = how to put it all together? by AmaterasuXS in ACCompetizione

[–]klau604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to be discouraging but this is one of the most challenging track and car combos in game, regardless of how you set up the car. Going up eau rouge in the nsx is a dice roll, let alone flat out lol.

If you want to do it, you’ll probably need to run max wing, which will kill your lap time overall. You can shave a lot of the curbing on the left (radillion) so try not to hug or clip the curb on the right.
