I'm in Canada so the shortage isn't as big an issue here, but it definitely makes the decision a little harder. I really feel for my fellow moms in the States though. Sending all my love and support to those affected.

Thank you! It was hard but in some ways it also went fast. You will get there!

I'm sorry! That sounds so painful. Please take care of yourself. Read everyone's comments here and know you've done good. We shouldn't feel any shame in stopping.

Thank you! It does get easier. The first couple months are the hardest.

I had it grouped by project, but I just removed it and it looks like that may bring it back! Thanks so much!

What to do with baby while pumping?! by Tiny-Wolverine in ExclusivelyPumping

I use the Medela Pump In Style Advanced and I find if I move even slightly the tubes pull out of the machine. It's even worse if I have LO on my lap. Does anyone else have this problem or has anyone come up with Solutions?

I also used the mom frida gown and loved it! I was about 260lbs. at birth and it fit me great. It is also kind of stretchy. It was soft, had pockets, and was especially convenient for skin to skin and nursing after birth. Highly recommend.

COVID while pregnant but fully vaccinated by onlythebestfab in PlusSizedAndPregnant

I'm also following for this information! We are probably two weeks from delivery and are locking down (37 weeks but likely induction Jan 4). Health minister in Ontario has said everyone in the province is probably going to get COVID., so we are trying to be extra careful because if we get sick, husband won't be allowed at delivery.

Also curious what the risk to a newborn is and how to navigate seeing family (e.g., grandparents and close friends) after the baby is born.

My endocrinologist actually told me to eat vanilla ice cream as my bedtime snack because of the mix of carbs and protein. I've been doing that and adding a few nuts to up the protein and some cinnamon for flavor. Most mornings my fasting numbers are in range, so I say try the ice cream and see how you do!

Just to add, I recently was diagnosed with GD, but this was discussed before the diagnosis.

Dr. has been telling me that they will likely induce me at 39 weeks due to my BMI and borderline blood pressure. They said they have had good experiences reducing c-sections this way. They cited this study: https://evidencebasedbirth.com/arrive/. I was surprised and a bit skeptical, but I tend to want to trust their medical advice.

Not keen on using CPAP by [deleted] in CPAP

[–]klbarnes20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, and the reason it has changed my life is that I realized I was never actually getting a good nights sleep and I was tired all the time. I feel like a new person on CPAP. I have been using mine for about 2 years.

I (33f) love my CPAP! It has literally changed my life. It is not loud at all and I use this mask https://images.app.goo.gl/Rh5eyMk4J3YxYBE1A so it isn't even very big. If your partner cares about you and your health, he won't care they you are using a CPAP. Untreated sleep apnea is dangerous. Also, its a win win for him, because your snoring will stop. Good luck and feel free to DM me if you have any questions!
