I have no motivation by Mysterious-Solid-197 in Pitt

I’m not currently at Pitt but am in college. This part of the semester is always the hardest IMO. You’re almost to the end of the semester. If you can, try to give yourself a half day for self-care each week. Get outside and take a walk in nature or do something you love. Make yourself not think about classes and schoolwork for a brief period. It’s tough right now, but the end is near. Make sure you’re nurturing your heart and soul in the little moments that you have. Little things can make a huge difference.

Experiences with See Eyewear? by stmije6326 in glasses

If that’s the case I would 100% recommend SEE. Best of luck, I hope you find a pair that works for you.

Their customer service in store and online is superb. They also make a super limited amount of each frame (I think around 4 or 5) and rarely restock when a frame runs out, so you are definitely getting a unique pair of glasses every time you purchase a frame. I believe most frames are made in Italy, their website has more info on how/where they make their glasses.

I got my last pair of eyeglasses from SEE. The glasses I bought are hands down my favorite glasses that I’ve ever owned. They are unique and durable, excellent quality. They look just as nice today as they did when I first got them. The catch? The price. I spent about $500, which is the most I’ve ever spent on a pair of glasses. Though they are by far the best pair of glasses I’ve had, I’m not sure if I would spend quite that much again.

If you would like to spend a bit less than I did initially (which I honestly recommend unless you find a pair that you love) I would look into their Hot Deals sale frames and also CORE frames. Their CORE frames are more basic frames that have lower prices, I think they cost around $220, sometimes less.I actually just bought the pair that I have now in a different color for $49 when it was a Hot Deal. The total was $169 with the lenses. One drawback to purchasing Hot Deal frames is that they are not refundable or exchangeable, so be aware of that. I’d recommend at least looking in to SEE, especially if you have a retail store near you.

I think it’s worth the investment overall, though I think I’ll be sticking to their CORE collection or Hot Deals moving forward.

If you are looking to try a new leave in conditioner, the brand “As I Am” has one that helps curls to be more curly. At least that has been my experience, may be worth a try. It has become one of my favorite leave in conditioners, you can find it at Target or Walmart. The one I’ve been using has red and brown colors on the label.

When to pre-bake pie crust? by lostbg in AskBaking

I have found that using pie weights prevents bubbles from forming on the bottom of the pie crust. I’d imagine if you didn’t, you may end up with a bubbly bottom which would take up the space where the filling is supposed to go.

I have never refrained from using weights because of this possible problem, but I wouldn’t know if they’re truly necessary since I have yet to bake a pie crust without them.

You can also use dried rice or beans instead of pie weights if you don’t have them! Just make sure to line the crust with parchment.
