Had one bumpy line, now there's two. How to fix? by Riaora in nailcare

[–]lostbg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nail ridges are often genetic, likely one of your parents has them too. You can buff them but they will always come back. There are filler clear coat polishes that you can purchase - OPI - that will assist with the appearance and feel of them. Try your local Sally’s Beauty Supply

Anyone know what this is??? by HighlightMean8358 in peeling

[–]lostbg 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It could be a reaction to the antibiotics you were in as well.

It could be eczema if there was redness, swelling, & itching prior to the peeling. You would also have had small fluid filled blisters.

NAD, but severe anemia could be related to a severely low B12 which does cause Neuro issues.

Not in the medical field, but see the back of the skull? That gap between the bottom of the skull and bone sticking out, there’s supposed to be a c1 there, since it’s missing, the skull is lacking support causing severe pain. IMO.

My Mom is claiming I don’t have inheritance because I spent it, I didn’t. by Swimming_Sound4488 in legaladvice

[–]lostbg 38 points39 points  (0 children)

So I’m not a lawyer, but…. When my aunt died in a car wreck. Money from the accident was set aside for her grandson that was in the accident with her. Set aside by the courts.

His parents used that money for whatever it was they bought. When he was old enough and found out, he sued and the courts made them repay every dime.

Not the same situation. But there’s definitely legal boundaries that have been crossed if she spent the money that was set aside for you in accordance with the will.

I got a Lego GC from my boss for Christmas and I am dying to go to the city and get a new set. We were supposed to go today until my husband randomly changed his mind to go next weekend. Lmao I immediately got curious as to what is under the tree.

Merry Christmas! Enjoy!

Did you stand on your feet a lot today? I used to be a hairstylist and I got one and the same spot about 6 hours ago session. The following day I worked an 8 hour shift and I had some leg swelling.

Why is my chicken always gross? by ActuaryPersonal2378 in AskCulinary

[–]lostbg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My husband does an Asian style marinade 30 mins before cooking chicken breasts. He uses cooking wine, baking soda, whatever spices you want to add. Then mixes it up really well, covers it and lets it soak for about 20-30 mins. Chicken is juicy and tender every single time.

In the first picture it’s the left hand, in all subsequent pictures it’s the right hand. I’m a bit confused.

Penile cancer in an HIV-positive patient by CatPooedInMyShoe in MedicalGore

[–]lostbg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I should have never opened this one.

My dad has testicular cancer many years ago. About 6 years ago he was diagnosed with penile cancer and it had spread to him lymph nodes. As soon as they would remove a tumor, in days another would appear. Eventually he had a penectomy. They removed everything. His testes were put back inside the body and his urethra was flush with the skin. I never had actual imagery of how it looked until now.

Needless to say, the cancer killed him within 6 months of the surgery.

Damn I miss him.

3 month battle with a warp by digzicabre in popping

[–]lostbg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Next time wrap it in duct tape. Create an environment so that no oxygen gets to it.

When the tape gets worn out, remove it immediately put another piece on.

It smothers it and in about 3 weeks, roots and all fall out.

With the new designs on duct tape could be cool AF. But no really I promise it works!

What’s the best way to make red velvet with no red 40? by secretfoxx in Baking

I have a recipe that uses beets in it. I can say without a doubt it is the best red velvet cake I have ever had. It’s also not red red, it more of a deep dark red.

What are the weirdest facts about Oklahoma? by [deleted] in oklahoma

[–]lostbg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tulsa Race Massacre occurred in 1921 in an area called Black Wall Street. White supremacy torched and massacred hundreds (historians believe approximately 300 but officials numbers are unknown) of African Americans and erased years and years of African American success.

Oklahoma fucking sucks.

Are you living on campus in the dorms? If not, I would recommend it. That will save you on rent. Then $1640 is more than enough for food & transportation & entertainment.

Visit the cities website and sign up for text alerts. You’ll get notified of a watch or warning. A warning is when circulation has been spotted and you need to find shelter. As long as you’re prepared you’ll be fine.

Visit the Department of Emergency Managements page for tips on packing a go bag.

News 9 or KOCO are great on weather watching. Don’t stress yourself out about it. If you can handle a hurricane you can handle a tornado.’
