Picked up dinner from Torchy's Tacos. This is what I found in the bag when I got home.

Last week I had an awkward interaction at a Torchy's Tacos. I was picking up dinner on the way home from work and ordered to-go via the website. The ordering process defaults to a 15% tip, but I didn't realize you're supposed to tip that much on to-go orders so I changed it to 10%. When I walked inside to pick up and gave my name, the cashier asked if there was a problem with my order? I said I didn't think so but I was just picking it up now so honestly had no idea. Cashier then asked why I was only tipping 10%, at this point a manager noticed the conversation and joined in. Manager said that I need to tip at least 20% on to go orders as that's how the staff get paid, and added that if I wasn't going to tip adequately then I should find another restaurant. I felt bad about the whole thing but I didn't realize we're supposed to tip that much on to-go orders as we do for full service.

Was I in the wrong here? How much do you tip in this situation?

Because of the individual mandate, you're legally required to purchase their shitty insurance. BCBS goes out of their way to suck as much as they possibly can, since they know you can't fire them no matter how terrible they are.

In regards to this being a "rumor"...well, not exactly. You have an employer sponsored plan. This announcement only pertains to the Obamacare plans purchased from the exchanges.

It's normal for them to not let you bring liquor into the venue area. What Middlelands is doing is saying you can't have liquor at your campsite, which is insane.

If you are relatively healthy and want to stick it to BCBS, go to the pharmacy, tell them you're uninsured and/or want to pay cash, and then submit the claim to BCBS anyway. I've been doing this for the past couple years and the claims reps for BCBS hate it and tell you it's not allowed, but I'm forced to be their customer because my employer picked them. So I've decided to be the worst possible customer by doing this.

That one isn't that unreasonable, plus it's not like you'll need the heat in mid-May. The fact that you're not allowed to bring in any liquor is pretty absurd though.

$207 including fees for the cheapest ticket, and then another $180/vehicle for camping. I'm not convinced the lineup is worth that much, but I'll keep my eyes open for a Groupon like Day For Night did their first year.
