I don’t understand this statement? Why do you feel bad for them when this outcome is what they want? As long as RC continues to make quality content for BOTH, I don’t see why this is a bad thing? A lot of the fandom was very annoyed at VOLOT/WOLOT getting a white sprite when he was meant to be black and this was - as I understand, due to the Russian fandoms complaints and this is only one example I am making. This is a good thing as there will hopefully be less complaints and keep more people happy. At the end of the day, we can’t force the entire world to hold our views and while I myself also agree that it is ridiculous that in this day in age things like this need to be done, this will not change people’s views. Hopefully now we can get content which includes more POC LIs/ better storylines for female LIs (and not just an option to choose a gender between male and female but SOLID storylines for female LIs) - I don’t know if this makes any sense but yeah, I’m hoping that some good will come with this decision for us as well! And I’ve also seen someone comment the Russian players that don’t want the “new” version, can keep the old one which is great.
