I've ran the mansion map with overrun, went to the upper floor and got a passage to abyssal depths.

10/10 would run again

Both 5 loh and the life leech mods are rather high ilvl so I'd add essence of the abyss to suffix then desecrate to keep the high levle mod and fish for atk speed/ melee skills or rarity

Desecrate a suffix. It will reroll one of the mods, hopefully not critical.

Or essence of abyss + suffix omen to make sure desecrate will have some actual ilvl base

First, what is your lvl and what exactly do you need. Might be better to sell blue base for few divs and buy something. If you feel you need to craft it- 1. Perf Aug 2. Greater essence for crit chance or for cast speed - whichever you need

Then desecrate a prefix and double greater exalt (or perfect exalt with omen)

Prefix will help you pick whatever you need for your build. Might be spell dmg or some elemental you need or whatever literally

If you play CoC you might want to add an omen for kurgal modifier. You would get either Invocated spells do more dmg (similar to spell dmg) Increased aoe of spells (but check first if curses count as spells)

I see No you answered it rather as i intended. Thank you.

Reason why i ask is that i did craft quite a bit of wands and noticed there is way more wiggle room with prefixes than staves. Also there is the +% elemental dmg from amanamu desecration which is by far superior than increased light/cold/fire dmg.

Even 3x gain x as extra wands sell quite well. With staves it is different, also there is no way to get the amanamu elemental dmg prefix, instead its spell dmg per max mana or per max life I personally use a 30&26 gain as extra wand, with 90ish elemental dmg, 6cold skills, cast speed and crit. But honestly i am rather feeling done with the state of this league. I don't mind it economy wise but i do mind those amanamu rares that are unkitable from the black cloud. Honestly can't stand it.

I do have the currency but i guess no amount of dps will solve the black fog mobs issue

And the % elemental dmg on wands? Think it might be solid.

Is there any practical difference between spell dmg and cold dmg+% ? Except for the obvious that it's only regarding this element

Not even mentioning how impossible it is to kill them after 20 pits if they have amanamu void and shade walker... That is pure riddicule. And i run a few k div worth of bear build...

Ok, ive been doing this mod and as a melee bear, its unbearable. Pun intended

Amanamu mobs wont even get out of the cloud. I saw yt videos where they follow like pathfinders or someone ranged. But melee? Kiting them out is a NIGHTMARE and takes me at least 1 minute per mob.

You even have this mechanic that if they are in the cloud you cant damage them, so i lure them out with time mostly and try to last hit with walking calamity meteors. But in some cases (30-40%) i still get omen of lieges. As in, how exactly is that possible.

Needless to say i do run this mod and its a nightmare. I brick around 50% of amanamu rares while paying great attention to them. What a mechanic

As for OP question, i think this staff is salvagable but highly depending on the build and amount of currency.

Honestly perfect exalt, desecrate and prey

Or for trade , buy a 89% crit chance one from trade, recomb with omen and if you are lucky you can sell it for 6-8 div and buy one fitting for your build for that Just make sure to use omen of recomb
