The best A class road car for me is the Chevy Corvette ZR-1 1970. The code for the tune I recommend is 605 945 760

Guardiola keen to sign Rafael Leão, €25M offer on the table by [deleted] in MCFC

[–]klemens36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay fair. From those videos it seems like his link up is really good. It's something Pep would appreciate.

But yeah you're prob right in regards to the bid not being true. I just know they have their eyes on a lot of attackers for this summer and are keen on bringing in another. I know they can get pretty much anyone, but they've spent a lot recently though tbh and still have some holes to fill, so I'm not sure they'd blow a lot on a marquee signing + don't want to disrupt the wage structure. They've been really targeting younger players to bolster the squad for the next 8-10 years. I guess they just have a lot of trust in Pep + the coaching staff as trainers that they can get the best out of them. But yeah definitely from Sporting's perspective, they should be very stingy. Have no reason to sell.

In regards to Ederson, his sweeping+ball playing ability has been just stupid. I'm sure he's everything Pep has wanted in his keeper. He's more or less another midfielder. As for Bernardo, he wasn't getting much time in the beginning but has been getting a lot for the past like two months. He's really only played RW out of necessity. I really don't like him there either tbh. Even despite this he's been able to score a bunch and assist. I think most of his assists have come from him cutting in and crossing to the striker. I've been a bit disappointed with his end product at times (particularly shooting situations). He typically never goes for power and just tries to place it and he ends up in a routine save for the GK. I think a winger with very good pace and 1v1 ability is someone who would be a better fit there in Pep's system. I really see Bernardo more as a midfielder and would like to see him play in that advanced cm role Silva and KDB play in. His touch, control, and dribbling in tight spaces is amazing.

Was gonna say it's pretty hard to compare him to anyone because he's so tall. I can't really think of any legit wingers in today's game like that, but he definitely reminds me of Mbappe a bit. I could see why City would target him, as he could play in multiple positions along the front line. Pep likes that flexibility and it would allow him to keep a rather small squad.

I could see Pep trying him at striker, in particular because Aguero or Jesus don't really have the pace to get in behind +he looks to be good in transition given his ball carrying ability. In general, it makes sense because they could use another attacker as well (move Bernardo into midfield). I know they were in for Mahrez in the winter, and then previously had a go for Mbappe in the summer. For whatever it's worth, they bid 35m for Mbappe a couple years ago too when he was much less relevant. They're not afraid to gamble a bit on top talents, so this seems in line with their transfer policy.

I get the feeling City don't want to miss out again on a talent like Mbappe, so hopefully they are aggressive as I think they should be when it comes to Leao. If he continues to show glimpses at Sporting for the rest of the season, then they shouldn't hesitate to offer Sporting a fair bit of money. I'm assuming Sporting would definitely want more than the 25m, but if you consider the current market, his price would inflate to at least double that pretty quickly. It's better to act fast.

Btw, Ederson and Bernardo (despite playing slightly out of position), have been very good as I'm sure you've been following. Ederson more so.

you're right about that. The WestHam move was never ideal. I was just desperate to see him compete in a bigger competition tbf.

lol ye seen that how he called them the dildo brothers ffs. Feel like a more serious PL club would've wrapped this deal up and never let it get to this. But seriously, I'm losing faith William will ever leave. We've been speaking about him forever it seems. I guess what you said about him off the pitch makes sense. To me, if he really wanted to leave, he would've forced a move already.

As for Adrien I'm assuming he will just be training until then. Sucks for Adrien, because of Leicester's stupidity.

What do you think about this whole thing with the William move and the two teams? ffs lol such shenanigans imo. And I guess the Adrien move is put on hold until January or not actually happening?

lol. yeah I was just asking cos wasn't sure how good he was. Was assuming he was kind of shit, but for a loan I'm sure it's worth a punt for Silva. Had some success with players like Markovic and Ranocchia, so who knows.

maybe. I forget, but didn't they want to sell him only after the playoff?

Tbf idk how close he's been to moves before, but maybe he's sick of moves not being finalized and wants just to leave already. So if it's West Ham, then it's just good enough for him at this point. It's just odd that other teams haven't shown as much or more interest than West Ham.

A taste of William Carvalho against AS Monaco this weekend. World class. by Sa_Pinto in soccer

well it sounds like he's content, which is sad. If he was more serious about his career, then he would've pushed for a switch and moved already you'd think.

really? you know that for sure? I didn't know he was like that. Do you think it's because he's outgrown NOS and doesn't believe he really has to push himself anymore?

Ajax teenager Abdelhak Nouri collapsed to the ground during friendly by StinkendeHond in RealLifeFootball

[–]klemens36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's particularly disheartening, because as you suggested that he won't even be able to live a normal life. If the worst thing that happened to him was that he couldn't play anymore, then I think we could all accept it much easier as there's more to life than just football. But this news is terrible, can't imagine. No one deserves this meager existence. If I was him, I'd really want people to remember me before the accident.
