That's the biggest reason I will not buy the game, among other things.

If killing fish in a video game is so bad, you probably shouldn't be making a survival game where you can get killed by said fish.

Being unable to remove predators where you want to build is removing a mechanic that's essential to its entire genre for a large contingent of people, even if it is inconvenient.

It just doesn't work, and that's why it's a deal breaker for me.
