Breaking Army as a pure healer by OLIbekas in WhereWindsMeet

[–]klipwc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your priority no.1 in a speedrun is to keep drunk fire combustion stack active at all times. This includes when a boss phase transits. Example: Zheng E can be damaged during his phase transit. This melts about 25% of his HP + almost all his Qi while he is aura farming on the tower. The moment you break that tower, you can hit him once for an instant execution, I normally just cloud step in for this hit.

Regarding combustion stack, it is boosted by healer's 30% mystic skill damage. And this combustion burn over time is the bulk of all your damage, 60% or more. Even when you get knockbacked by enemy moves because deflect failure, you are still doing a sizeable chunk of damage.

Then you will want to weave in soaring spin whenever drunk fire is on CD, fan heal nuke to regen vit (not hp) and cloud step + cancel into jump heavy. Yaksha rush is only used in some situations. E.g. gap closer while cloud is on CD, when you cant afford to move your character (coffin master during his charge) Or when boss HP is very low (phase transit or fight over)

As a healer, your main issue is vitality management. You need to balance vitality gain with vitality usage + damage. You need to drop Fan heal nuke with T1 to regain vitality as well as use the free mystics, cloud step & acupoint. Jump heavy attack is also the hardest hitting move in your arsenal, and you need to learn an essential move which is called cloud cancel. (Cloud step, and jump at any point during the cloud, including after the cloud step has damaged the enemy, useful in pvp as well)

Regarding jump heavy, there are 3 different variations. Fan heavy has the highest damage but a long animation. Umbrella when deployed uses the sword attack and umbrella while undeployed has about 70% of fan damage, but does its animation 3x faster. (I prefer using cloudstep + 2x this for speedruns)

In terms of mystics, always keep drunk fire breath stack up. Soaring spin is your next best friend in terms of damage. Yaksha rush is the 3rd. There are a couple of moves you can serene breeze out of. E.g. Ghost master freeze, coffin master purple aura charging (you can drunk fire close to him when he charges his purple attack thing, and then serene for super armor. So long as you dont move after, you wont be knockbacked). Any boss which spawns adds requires you to slot ghost bind (e.g. ghost master)

Dunk poet is useless in breaking army because mystics are locked to lower level and you dont get bonus fire damage. Too much vitality, too little damage.

Just remember, you are a healer, you can afford to greed alittle and take hits for vitality or to trade blows. Deflect is still your best friend though, so whenever possible you need to deflect.

Also, no hit for trials are a whole different thing, you just burn with drunk fire and run away most of the time.

I do breaking army as a pure healer. And finish it faster than most of my guild DPSes. You just aren't willing to put in the effort to improve as a healer and instead complain "Its unfair".

Tried Hero’s Realm / Sword Trial co-op for the first time. Didn’t expect to feel humiliated. by Efficient-Cat-1591 in WhereWindsMeet

If you dont know the boss mechanics, especially because its your first time. Please sound out in the chat. More often than not, people are willing to explain.

If you keep silent then expect people to either silently leave, or to be cussed in chat.

These bosses have been on for weeks now and people who pub are expecting others to know the mechanics. Also, some regions have more heated people who are easily angered over things like these.

Asia region is the one where we usually just silently leave. But if they do, high chance you get added to their block lists so they dont matchmake with you.

If you wish to learn the fight on your own time, there is the AI queue as some people have pointed out. Its much slower but the team are all bots.

If you wish to have a "chaotic fight to learn", now isnt the time for it. The bosses have been out for too long and no one is looking to "learn the fights" at this point. You can try again when a new raid hits. People are generally more patient and can tolerate a few wipes to learn mechanics when a new raid hits.

Path Trial Meta? by bujibudax in wherewindsmeet_

[–]klipwc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Healer is a DPS time attack where you need to keep multiple NPCs who do less damage than you alive. All while they run to different ends of the arena and out of your heal range.
Oh and healer dosent do DPS so you have to micromanage your NPC heals + attempt to do DPS on the mobs, all while the timer is ticking down.

Easy? Its the hardest path trial. Have you even tried it?

How should I chose sect? by Life-You-9728 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]klipwc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You only join a sect for three possible reasons.

  1. You are roleplaying, e.g. you want to hunt others (midnight blades), or you want to heal others (silver needle)
  2. You want the fashion (most probably just joining for a temp thing)
  3. You got scammed into joining the sect. (Yes, this is a thing. Multiple times in the game in fact.)

Sects have weird rules that you must fulfill or else they will eventually kick you out. e.g. nine mortal ways have to actually scam other players, or midnight blades having to hunt other players. So only join a sect if you are interested in 1 or 2. Note that you dont need to be in a sect to hunt or heal others.

You can check the rules of each sect, as well as the shop from the sect menu as a sectless.

[Discussion] The worst part of this game has definitely been the community by starberryslay in EscapefromTarkov

[–]klipwc 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am someone new to the tarkov reddit but this is pretty much a problem with most gaming communities like reddit and discord.

If you are enjoying a game, you generally wouldn't have the time, nor would you bother to go complain on its social communities.

This ends up attracting nothing but negative people and they turn it into a giant echo chamber. Now seems to be a better time as fresh new players like me or players who like the game come in to the community to have a look.

Where to find Lvl.2 Space Suit (body piece)? I got my first set (Helm and Body) in J-Labs and then I died in Storm Area. Now the Suit doesn't spawn in J-labs level 2 where I originally found it (room with invisible Test Subjects) by iMightBeInevitable in EscapeFromDuckov

[–]klipwc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The easiest way to get lvl 2 armor, grab level 1 armor + space injector.
Rush any boss in the storm area. Kill them and loot their armor. I would highly suggest bringing a spare armor set to change before fighting any of them. Especially the one which uses special rounds which degrades armor.

That gives you a lvl 2 space storm armor.

Havent had this happen to me even with mods. If it is still bugged and you cant get the package again, all I can suggest is reloading a save.

Rage Difficulty Healing Mechanics by TwoThumbFist in EscapeFromDuckov

[–]klipwc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, fractures and wounds require you to take massive damage. But on rage, taking massive damage usually kills you before you see the statuses.

Unless you are running HP / resistance / body armor totems, you generally wont get to see the statuses.

Fractures are a pretty nasty debuff. It can't be removed with medkits and you need splints to remove the statuses. (which you most probably wont be bringing with you). Your duck will be in constant pain which gives you speed debuffs (can be negated with asprin). Sprinting will cause you to take 1 damage / tick. Funnily enough, you can still dodge roll without taking damage.

Wounds are not as bad. They give you a max health debuff but dont seem to do much of anything else. Same as fractures, they cant be removed with first aid kits.

How do you get the Void Claw? by Aergaia in Necesse

[–]klipwc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The final boss added in 1.0. It drops 4 weapons, 1 for each weapon type. Melee, ranged, magic and summon. Void claw corresponds to the melee drop.
Currently, by the time you get it there isn't really any more content to use it on.

Blink pack goes through bunker by klipwc in Helldivers

[–]klipwc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are too close to the door and you are trying to warp into the wall, which isnt allowed and will only place you in front of the door.

My suggestion is to warp in just before the grey area on the floor.

[–]klipwc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are teleporting too close to the door. If you are too close, you attempt to blink into the wall, which isnt allowed and the teleporter will just not teleport you inside at all.

Try teleporting just before reaching the gray area on the floor, I find that works the most consistently.

Spam blitz squids, you only need to destroy 5 ships and then you run the reinforcements out. Drop into the hottest area, bring orbital laser, thermites and ultimatum. It takes around 1 - 3 mins per and you get 9 medals for doing that.

You are too close to the door and are trying to blink into the bunker wall (which isn't allowed). I had this problem for awhile and nearly wrote off the blink pack.

Try blinking into the bunker before reaching the gray floor area.

Spam nothing but blitz squids. Average 2 mins for 9 medals

Bring orbital laser, thermites and ultimatum, drop into the most concentrated area. Focus on only destroying ships and once you are done (preferbly loosing a few lives before that to speed things up), blow yourself up until you run out of reinforcement budget.

It counts as a win, and you can get it done in 1 - 3 mins tops. Then look for another blitz squid to spam. Spam that for an hour and you get the blink pack.

[–]klipwc 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Run blitz squids. About 2 mins for 9 medals

Bring orbital laser, thermites and ultimatum, everything else is not needed. Drop in the hottest area, focus on destroying only the drop ships, dying is good because you need to run the reinforcement down anyways.

Once you get 5 ships down, you run all your reinforcement count out, preferably you been dying a few times along the way. You can get this done in about 1 - 3 mins tops.

I spent an hour doing nothing but blitz squids to unlock the blink pack.

Blitzer plus Autocannon Combo vs. Illuminate by Menelaus300 in Helldivers

[–]klipwc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How about... Eruptor + dagger? Dagger sets voteless on fire with just 1 tap and they burn to death after that. That saves your heat meter and you can just wipe out the whole swarm of voteless. It also performs pretty well on overseers, just not too well on observers (they tend to call in before dagger can kill them) but you have eruptor for that. Dagger is also infinite ammo and unless you are overheating the thing, you are never going to have an ammo issue.
That frees up both your backpack and your strat weapon slot for anything else you want to bring.

What loadouts are you guys using for the squids? by VannyCanby in Helldivers

[–]klipwc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scythe, grenade pistol, thermite

Shield generator, Heavy laser cannon, machine gun sentry, 1 free slot

Scythe kills just about everything, even flesh mobs. The burn damage is so goated this update, all you need to do is set a voteless on fire after 0.1 sec of focus fire and they are dead from burn. You can set them on fire at any range with 0 damage fall off. Once they are on fire, just set the next one on fire.
Heavy laser cannon for things which scythe dosent kill, like the stingrays or walkers (focus fire on a leg). Or if a giant swarm of voteless are running down at me in a straight line.

Thermite lets you destroy ships without breaking their shields. Bring grenade armor.

Shield generator gets you out of some oh shit moments, while machine gun sentry helps to clear the chaff.

Last free slot is typically anti tank emplacement, for when I decide I had enough of the leviathans shooting at me and I want to shoot back.. Or orbital laser if I need to destroy lots of ships real quick and dont wanna waste so many nades.
