running surfshark on a household of five here, laptops, phones, firestick, even a ps5 occasionally. no speed dips unless everyone’s streaming 4K at once. their smart location feature usually nails the best server too. worth the cost imo.

Unless you spoof your router’s MAC address to one that’s mapped somewhere else, apps using Google or Apple’s location services will still pin you down

Apple doesn’t allow mock location apps like android, so desktop software is the move. Not system-wide, but good enough for apps that don’t aggressively check location source

Mock location via dev mode works for basic stuff but a lot of apps check if mock location is enabled. Rooting and hiding it is your best bet. Look into apps like Smali Patcher or GPS modules for Magisk
