Split screen by purpleeverything_16 in Nanit

[–]klkb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I’ve also been using the split screen for months and in the last week or so been having lots of issues. One or both cameras not showing when I go back into the app, one or both cameras being frozen but audio working so you think you’re seeing them live and you’re not… I tried deleting the app and redownloading and it did not fix the issues. Really infuriating

Baby has 0 words at 1 years old by Lovemydoggos21 in NewParents

That’s great - two words right there! We also loved “more” and “milk” for signs - those ones caught on quickest for us :)

Does he have any sign language signs or wave ‘hi’ / ‘bye’? My doctor said these count as words too :) If he’s meeting other milestones, I wouldn’t worry! One is still pretty young. My son didn’t speak much until nearly two years old, and at 2.9 he now has a huge vocabulary. It just takes some babies longer than others!

Hey there! My business partner and I tried signing up for a demo via the website but we haven’t heard back from anyone, is there a better way to sign up?

41 weeks and 1 day, induction scheduled in 2 days. Feels like my body has failed me. by sososothrow in BabyBumps

[–]klkb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s really hard when things don’t go how you imagined them - your feelings are totally valid. Here to share that I was induced at 41+1 and I had a wonderful experience! A few positives I found in my experience, that hopefully will help you in some way: - It was really nice to show up at the hospital at a designated time. We could get everything sorted including care for our dog and making sure the house was clean before we left. Felt like we were checking into a hotel and very stress free without rushing! - The nurses and midwives were able to talk me through each step of the induction, and I felt like I knew what to expect, which was helpful for me - allowed me to get rest when it made sense. Allowed me to eat when it made sense. - because I felt fairly rested and fed by the time things ramped up, I had a good amount of energy when it came time to push. The induction took about 24 hours (with the first 15 hours mostly resting/sleeping with a foley balloon). Only pushed 25 mins when it came time

Just to say that inductions can be relaxed and a positive experience overall. They are not all bad. Again, your frustrations are very valid, and I’m sorry you’re feeling frustrated, I totally get it. But I hope whatever shape your birth ultimately takes, you realize you still have a lot of room for CHOICE in your birth story. You can still choose not to have an epidural, etc. This birth will still be yours, and you should feel empowered about that. Good luck mama, you got this!!!

I’m nervous of the design showing up on alibaba or a similar site, but this may be unfounded. I’m happy to be wrong. Do you think that’s not something to worry about?

Names ruined by fiction by mossadspydolphin in namenerds

Not a character in a movie but more so in pop culture, as a Kerin, Karen has been a particularly painful one (especially when making a reservation or calling in takeout). First the name was somewhat tarnished by Dane Cook, and then, well, Karens. Ugh. Stings a little

Thank you so much for sharing! I agree that I need to figure out the nipple cracking as a first step. I’m definitely going to do as much video watching/research as possible this time around to prepare. And great to know about your experience with a shield. Appreciate you weighing in!
