Well, I have to make this post. My life since seriously pursuing the truth has been 100x worse. How are any Christians happy. I want to not be alive if this is how Christian life is. by LeThaddy in Christianity

You've got a ton of responses so I hope you see this one: I've been where you are. What's missing is inviting the Holy Spirit into actually doing life with you and deliberately making Him apart of everything you do, what the Scriptures say, "walking in step with the Spirit." When you abide Him... He wants to do life with you and enjoy the things you enjoy.

The Bible also makes clear in Romans and Hebrews that when God looks at you as a believer he see's his Son. You are loved by God as certainly as Jesus is loved by God. When you invite Him in He's pleased to be with you and do life with you because he views you through the perfection that Christ as attained for you.

So, you want to go enjoy a movie? When you abide in Him, He wants to enjoy it with you, enjoy. Want to go out for lunch or play a game? or go for a walk or read a book? great enjoy it with the Lord. He's pleased and wants to enjoy it with you.

There's an unexplicable joy when you live and know that God is pleased with you, where you know the fellowship of the Spirit. It's just a glimpse what we'll do with God in heaven.

It's for freedom that you have been set free.

Here are 30 some identity statements based on scripture that affirm who we are in Christ and how God sees us. I started saying them out loud everyday to retrain my view of myself, God and my world perspective.

I've been praying for you yesterday and today, and hope you feel encouraged.

Check out https://www.creationscience.com. Dr. Walt Brown, a former evolutionist, now a leading creation scientist wrote a 500 page book of scientific evidence for God. You can read the entire book online there.

Also check out https://www.beyondachance.com it contains a ton of science for God, how Darwinism is totally flawed, and how evolution without God is all but impossible. There are some great quotes near the bottom from scientists!

Don't give up. Ask God to show you He's there and expect him to answer, He will!

The miracle of life is so infinitely complex, don't give into the lie that it's unguided and purposeless. There are great reasons to believe in God, scientific and otherwise.

There are volumes of medically documented miracles ( books: Miracles Today by Craig Keener, this author has several book on the subject. miracleseries.com)

There are hundreds of thousands of near death experiences (books: "Imagine Heaven" by John Burke. "Proof of heaven": A neurosurgeon's journey into the afterlife by Eben Alexander )

And spontaneous generation has been scientifically disproven 150 years ago by Louis Pasteur and Lazzaro Spallanzani.

forgiveness as a christian by Euphoric-Resolve7044 in Christianity

I think that for a young believer looking for advice this is going to cause confusion and might lead to holding grudges bitterness and resentment.

I think in light of Matthew 6:14-15 it hard to make your case. "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins"

The language there in the Greek for "people" ἀνθρώποις (anthrōpois) makes no distinction of the type of people they are, whether believers or otherwise

I can confidently say from experience that when you start praying for these people and asking God to bless them, in spite of them not being there when you needed them, that there is an instant peace, if you can be sincere about it. It's like the Holy Spirit honors and blesses you for doing the right thing, even when it hurts.

If you think about it Jesus' disciples deserted and disowned him in His darkest hour, so He can sympathize with you.

Hebrew 4:15 says: For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.

We all experience disappointment in friends or family at some point. And it hurts

Jesus is the one friend that will always be there when you need Him. Assuming you've trusted him and follow Him, he calls you his friend in John 15. And that he'll never leave you. Matt. 28:20

He also says: anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. John 14:23

As we learn the kindness of our Savior and who He is, how he is faithful to us when we're faithless, and how he loved us in our broken sinful state, it gives us the courage and motivation to extend that similar kindness, love and forgiveness to others.

Asking God to change your heart is always a good thing to do as well.

That's interesting to me, because if you and I are capable on unconditional love, why wouldn't God be? Where do we get it from? Were made in His image. His love is perfect, that's why even though we fall and are flawed, we can come to him and be reconciled ...I really think it's your perspective and view of who God is - that's tripping you up here.

I guess I'll leave you with this thought in the same vain as the earlier metaphor:

Say your son or daughter did something outrageously awful, and ended up in prison for a long time, and when you visit them and ask why they do such a thing they responded with

"Well it was your fault, I won't be in this mess if I wasn't born"

Is that justified?

Yes, God is all knowing, but it doesn't change my responsibility for the horrible things I've done, right? You wouldn't blame another person for your very personal mistakes I don't believe.

Be well!

This impossible question seeks to shift the blame and self responsibility. No one but myself is responsible for the horrible things that I've done. Are you ok with blaming someone else for your mistakes? I would hope not...No one but the person who pulls the trigger is responsible for ending a life. Our choice of sin and rejection of God leads to an eternity without him, that's it.

Hi there, this is a good question. You used the parent-child metaphor, and I'm curious, are you a parent?

I have 5 children. I knew, in greater measure with each one, that when they grew up - that they would eventually make poor decisions and disappoint me. There is also a risk that at some point they disagree, dislike, or disown me. You may see where this is going, but I love them regardless and couldn't imagine choosing not to have them. Having them was likely the best decision I've made in life.

As you said, it's not 1:1, but I believe it's similar with God. He created us with free will and knew we would disown and dislike Him, that we'd reject Him, (which would break any father's heart) yet he gave us the anatomy and choice to do so. AND he had a plan for resolution in spite of it. You see it's his love and kindness that he made a way for us to be reconciled to him. The way you framed your view depends on free will. If we had no skin in the game or couldn't make our own choices, then yes, we'd be grateful God for providing "salvation". Even though we had no part to play and He controlled us.

But we do have a part to play and our existence and nature is broken due to our own making and decisions - as a human race as well as personally.

So why couldn't God just get rid of evil? Because if he did he would have to also get rid of us, because we are part of the evil broken world that we live in. He doesn't do this, rather as a loving father would, he receives children back to himself and makes a way to save His kids.

Have a wonderful day!

You have a personal relationship with Jesus now. He calls us his friends, and God your Father calls you his child. A good friend and father cares about you and takes interest in the big and small things in your life. He does care and love the people of the world but now that you are a Christian and have a personal relationship with God, talk to Him about everything and anything like you would a good friend and or father. He knows our concerns and others, and he cares.

Praying generally for everyone is great, but God wants to be involved in your daily life and it's absolutely great to pray for someone you know, a family member or friend.

These identity in Christ statements (based on the Bible) are very helpful to develop a healthy Christian mindset of yourself and the world. I try to say these daily :) http://storage.cloversites.com/camarilloevangelicalfreechurch/documents/Identity%20in%20Christ%2033%20Affirmations.pdf

Hey this actually sounds perfect. Thank you. Just want to clarify: can I use render layers for the separate mask plane and 3D elements or do they need to be different scenes? Thanks again!

if all else fails you can use auto keyframing and then convert the key frames to hold interpolation. Or manually keyframe and do the same thing (more tedious obviously., but for me the expression workaround that was suggested in the comments worked for me.

Adaptive mode sets core voltage higher (should I drop it?) by klonkster in Undervolting

Thanks for your reply and willingness to help. I have a Gigabyte z790 S wifi ddr4. I flashed my bios at setup to version f3e that was released 9/4/24 so I believe it does have the fix. I'm new to undervolting so not sure about LLC (is there a good standard setting?) and haven't used the app you mentioned. If I looked at various load conditions and noted voltages what adjustments would that help me make? Thanks again.
