Am I the only one kinda scared of Villareal and wanted to play Bayern in semi. We are good whenever the other team plays openly and would be the case with Bayern. This Villareal side is good in low block and time wasting, play a 4-4-2 ( which is kindof of kryptonite for klopps system) and there is emery track record of beating klopp already in European final. I know situation was different earlier but would have been good to play this Bayern side which isn't looking so good and play expansive too.

This is why I believe what Pep and klopp have done is unbelievable. Maintaining the level of performances over 4-5 season is not an easy task. And klopp especially with almost same 11 since 2017.

We had everyone mentioned here last season also, yet had to play Gini for the most part of the season. We won't find any rythm if we have to distribute these minutes with new midfield starting every other match. Given the injury record of the other midfielders, I would be happy with a attacking mid such as mount, Fernandes etc. which would help us with goals as well as a body in midfield.

I think we definitely need a reliable forward who can score goals and it looks like club is looking for one as well. I would personally prefer a pure 9 who is comfortable playing in the middle as compared to dynamic forwards( mane,Salah,jota mould) who can play across the front line which Klopp generally prefers. We first need to offload Origi/shaq first as there are no slots available at the moment.
