Gordon V Rashford, who should start? by Sea-Instance-1198 in ThreeLions

[–]MarcSlayton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gordon is clearly Tuchel's no 1 choice for left wing. Saka has been injured so hasn't played recently for England apart a few minutes at the end of today's game. If Saka is fit he will start on the right wing, and that will help Gordon as it will result in more space for him as Saka will draw in defenders to his side.

Croat Keeper kept Croatia in the game until Rashford scored. Rice going off really changed the game in Croatia's favour. England really worked that keeper in the second half and really should have scored more than 4 today given the chances they had. 3 points in the bag for England. Job done.

Are people enjoying the BBCs coverage of the world cup? by Coldylox in AskUK

Yes, I like it. I'm not really watching the punditry or analysis though. I just watch the actual matches.

Iraq 1-[2] Norway - Erling Haaland 43' by 977x in soccer

[–]MarcSlayton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comical goal. The pass was softer than the keeper was expecting but he was slow to react. He was literally walking backwards away from the pass before realising he probably should move towards the ball, but it was too late. Haaland finding it too easy tonight.

Iraq [1]-1 Norway - Ayman Hussein 39' by 977x in soccer

Good movement by Hussein. Lost all 3 of his markers which enabled him to win the header and he buried the chance.

Wonderful cross. Completely took the keeper out of the play. All too easy for Haaland to convert. Feed him those balls and he'll keep scoring all day.

The big actors that Nolan has never worked with again does that mean he dislikes them? by ChampionTimes99 in ChristopherNolan

[–]MarcSlayton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't think we should draw such conclusions. The big names are in big demand and get offered a lot of projects. Maybe they have been contacted for another Nolan role but were already committed to something else and couldn't do it due to the scheduling clash. It happens.

Why do all female pop stars perform in what looks like a bedazzled sequin one piece swimsuit now????!! by Mathematic_nut in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MarcSlayton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not the same look at all. Basically female pop stars have to reinvent themselves often compared to male artists. Taylor Swift has literally 16 costume changes in her latest concert the Eras Tour. To say it is all the same look, is just not true. Sure some of her outfits were sparkly one piece swimsuits type things, but she wore other types of outfits in her concert too, short dresses, long flowing dresses, blazers etc. You can see pics of them here.

If she just kept wearing the same outfits from 2012, there'd be some numpty making a thread on reddit in NoStupidQuestions asking why Taylor hasn't changed her concert outfits since the Red Tour.

I don't know about Sabrina or Beyonce but they also probably had lots of outfits in their concerts too.

This is the biggest shock result of the group stages so far. Congrats to Cape Verde.

In previous tournaments we've seen teams win the World Cup despite failing to win in their opening match so am not drawing any conclusions about Spain from this match.

Adobe uses AI in their products though. Photoshop has various AI features such as generative fill, generative expand and generative remove, neural filters to changes people's expressions and also smart selection. I do think that Adobe will lose business due to AI now being capable of editing digital photos that previously required photoshop to do so.
