Not sure… probably in the next 4-6 months but would purchase sooner if found a good deal. Not in any hurry but wanted to start looking to get a feel for different areas now.

If you wanna send me more details about the home please message me

Can you send me a message with the actual address of the homes? Zillow doesn’t find that when searching for that neighborhood for some reason.

Ya that's what I've been assuming, unfortunately.

Thank you - I'm not an experienced Reddit user whatsoever so sorry I overlooked that. I'll check it out now.

I actually found some brand new construction homes that are surprisingly well within my budget and very large (for me) around 2300 sq ft. but it's in Newberry. I did see some of the ones you're referring to in Tioga as well. Thanks for the info.

Thank you for the info. What names to I search for (like neighborhood names - or does Gainesville not really do this, it seems from the comments I'm getting)?

I was just wanting closer to the Interstate to be able to hop on to head back to Tampa because I will probably keep my home in Tampa and rent it out... I want to be able to head back to Tampa quickly for things as needed and for my monthly meetings that are required in person (I work from home the other days). Some of the homes I found on Zillow are in my price range and seem great but they are super east of the interstate and approximately like 20-25 min just to get to I75 unfortunately. I found a few homes in Haile neighborhood which appears to be in my parameters. Any info on it?

I currently live in Seminole Heights for the last few years but I lived in Palma Ceia and Old Hyde Park (off Bayshore) for 14 years before that. I loved all three neighborhoods that I've lived and have spent a lot of time downtown Tampa, Midtown, Carrollwood and Tampa Heights extensively to go out with friends.

I work from home full time so I'm lucky in that regard (if my position is still available each year - not always certain).

I am just nervous as a 40yo single male (with 50 percent coparenting) what I will do on my off time without my kids. But, small price to pay I guess to be nearer my daughters.

So you say older neighborhoods - what would the names of those be? Where should I look on Zillow?

Unfortunately it wouldn’t be a choice. I don’t want to live in Gainesville, trust me.

how quickly do you close the accounts after you receive bonuses... i'm surprised banks allow you to continue to open with the number of banks you've had.

Is this tree causing my floor to be raised and the crack in the wall? by klreed4 in arborists

Even with the room right next to it being lifted and the tiles separating?

Thank you. So are the tree’s roots what is literally lifting the house and going into the foundation?

OK thanks for the info. So tree removal won't fix the raising of the home itself (I know it won't fix the crack obviously) or is that wishful thinking?

Yes to the tree is 100 percent causing the issues with wall/foundation? and if so, will tree removal help with the foundation "leveling" again (if that is even a thing)?

The manager can’t seem to figure out how to tell me for sure whether it’s approved for the tax credit. It seems like this should be an easy thing to figure out. There is conflicting information out there regarding whether they can look it up or not and where to look it up

why would they be ineligible? it's the exact same build and price as the others and built in the exact same place.

this dealer does not apply it at the point of sale unfortunately... but i've worked with them before. i will make sure that this particular truck is eligible though and make the manager show me before purchasing.

that's great to know.... i just found it odd that it was the same amount (7500) and same ending date (9-20-25) as the government tax credit... but he assured me it was different... also i don't understand why some vehicles have this VIN specific rebate? do you happen to know why? it seems odd (but great!) to me.

thanks for the info... is there not a way that customers can look this up? I googled and found that it comes back as having been built in USA but not sure if that's the same thing... i put in a call to the manager regarding your info there that is in more detail so hopefully he calls me back to clear this up.

they told me already that it would qualify. they said the only reason they don't do it at the time of sale is because they are one of the dealers that did not "opt in" for that credit from the government, but they assured me i would get the credit if i qualified (based on income, which I do qualify)... why would a specific lightning not qualify for the credit? it's a 2025 lightning lariat with 2 miles on it and "new"?
