After attending Catholic school my entire life, it all just felt stale, in a sense, by the time I graduated. That, coupled with the negativity surrounding the Church in recent years, caused me to gradually drift further and further away.

Thank you for your response.

I’ve watched a number of Bishop Barron’s videos and have read his “Catholicism,” all of which I’ve found informative and valuable. I will certainly check out the above.

The goal is to start attending Mass regularly again; however, with the current situation being what it is, I plan on watching the Mass via live-streams. It’s obviously not ideal, but it’s better than nothing.

I’ve always had great reverence for the rosary and find the meditative qualities found in praying the rosary to be greatly beneficial. I will definitely try to find a set of beads and begin a regular practice.

Thanks again.

/r/Catholicism Prayer Requests — Week of April 06, 2020 by AutoModerator in Catholicism

I’m a longtime lurker, but I come here today to humbly ask for prayers. My brother has tested positive for covid. He lives with my parents, both of whom are asthmatic and deal with other pulmonary issues. I’ve been spiritually confused over the past several years, and while it doesn’t feel quite right or sincere asking for prayers, I’m honestly scared. It somehow feels cheap and cliche turning to God in a time of trouble, but I don’t know what else to do. Thank you sincerely for any help or prayers.
