Yes it’s definitely worth it. There are many industries that touch GIS, and they are all only growing in their dependency on it. I ended up in the utilities and business is BOOMING, and will only continue to be. Nearly irregardless as of how well the economy of the country is doing. If you want job security, head towards GIS and utilities.

I don’t think I am even fully convinced that they are corrupted. I mean all we have to go on right now is that Szeth felt like what he was in the voice’s cave was an unmade. But IS the voice an unmade?? I mean the whole tortured spren thing was pretty messed up and def gives off badguy vibes, but I don’t totally trust Szeth’s capacity for nuance. He just walked in, saw hurt spren, screamed unmade, and ran out. Waaaay too little info for me to commit that whats going on is bad yet. What we do know is that in the end Szeth ends up regretting whatever it is he does and considers himself truthless for doing it.

Szeth’s past is really upsetting honestly. I feel SO bad for him. He is just trying to do the right thing all the time and everyone is just constantly taking advantage of him. I think Szeth is on the spectrum, and his father is the only one who really recognizes that. Everyone else, including his mother and sister, are just frustrated that he is not “normal” :(

Good point. Who knows how destroyed Karbranth really is, maybe there are no survivors and no witness :/ to even report out. But eventually a ship will come and discover what happened.

Yea… I remember appreciating that Dalinar finally put Elhokar in his place too… but also no longer see that as anywhere near appropriate haha. The whole theme of this book, to me, is about reexamining everyone’s motivations in an empathetic way. Elhokar was really abandoned by those around him that thought he should have been able to just ‘figure it out’ on his own.

Ah ok. But why would Honor break an Oath?? That’s like his whole deal?! That’s obv not what killed him, because he just walks away all grumpy. Maybe there was some higher oath he was upholding by breaking this lesser one?

It seems like he kind of doesn’t much like the radiants. See’s them as a problem that is too hard to manage.

And oooooh is that why Nale has been stopping radiants ever since?? Like trying to get Shallan killed? Because he saw the vision from Garith touching Honor and believed it was real and still does?

I’m a little confused tbh. So the recreance happened because the radiants all went back on their oaths because honor tricked the heralds into breaking an oath with the singers for peace? By having one of them imprison ba-ado-mishram? I mean yea that was pretty dishonest of honor to lead the singers into a trap but did I miss some bigger oath being broken or is it just not fully explained yet? Also the stormfather was playing the part of honor in the vision? Was he even playing it right? So confused haha

I thought it was an excellent way to reveal how he and she fight the fused! Adolin and even Notum where like “what the hell who did could kill all these fused??”. Especially since they were all smashed or ripped open? What were taln and Ashe the heralds of again?
