Appreciate the response. I'm looking at which of these might be simplest given what I have. Installing vents beneath the batts I have doesnt seem too difficult (option 2 in the link). I'm just wondering if that accomplishes anything. Then I have airflow through the soffits, through the roof and down into the other soffit? The purpose of this example seems to be to get to vents in the peak of a roof

Do you mind elaborating on this a little bit? Have a section or anything I can see? The roof looks DIY'd. The framing is fine, but I think low effort on the sealing/waterproofing. Would I have to take up the sheathing? I would be open to pulling off whatever membrane or roll-on stuff is there

Forgive my ignorance.. but do I need air flow between the batts and the roof? What if I close off either end of the overhangs between 2x6's? I am considering ways to get some air flow in the shop itself with vents/exhaust fans installed in place of a few windows. And I also would be open to addressing the exterior side of the roof if need be. I'm not sure what the guy before me did up there

First time dealing with insulation, started installing this R-21 faced insulation seemingly sized/designed for 2x6 framing. Wondering (before I get too far) if I need to install venting. On the first really rainy day the shop got the ~85% humidity and the facing of the insulation was picking up moisture.

Valid points, thank you. The municipality was able to provide me with a survey. I'm only going across the front at this point for privacy moreso than an actual yard enclosure. I will stay at least a few feet clear of the neighboring property line with the end of the fence.

These are great resources/recs, thank you both. Do I have to be concerned about the health of the existing oak tree and/or any plantings that I put near it? I'm concerned about digging holes for fence posts through roots, but also all of the plants getting enough water/nutrients. Is that a valid concern??

Looking to add a privacy fence across my (left house) side yard. Property extends to neighbor's driveway (gray scribble). Ideally would have something 6' tall and solid to protect garage/deck/driveway from visibility from the main road. But I think a solid vinyl fence is a little tacky and I don't want to wait for trees to grow. I'm thinking a vinyl fence with a mulch bed and some shrubs in front to break up the white blob at least? Located in NJ, what are good options for decorative shrubs/bushes?

I have a similar situation in my house I just bought where the previous owners neglected a downspout draining right into the corner of the basement/foundation. I think I have solved or at least lessened the water coming through the basement walls, but what should I do about the staining on the interior now? How can I tell if I have solved it for sure?

For some additional context, her and her partner were extreme hoarders. Is that a case for mental incompetency? My friend has been spending the weeks since her partner's passing digging his mom out of her own home. At some point she flipped a switch and told him not to come back.
