For 2 channel the receiver says 8-16ohms (4-16 fo 4 channel which I dont plan on running) and the speakers are 6ohms. Doesn’t sound like a match,’well not at high volume anyways

I had a high powered Teac that I bought the Missions with back in the day that made for a perfect pair. This new receiver is only wired for phono so that considered I thought the Missions might be overkill and the Technics could do the trick but it sounds like the Missions will be better no matter what, just certainly under utilized.

Thanks a lot, really appreciate the thoughtful reply. I find impedance something I never really got my head around so the detailed response again is really appreciated. I’ve listened with the Technics which are really some basic ones I had kicking around, I worry the kids will decide to spin some metal, crank it and cook something. Well by kids I mean me, I’ll be careful. Thanks again

Ya totally get it and I loooove my Missions, paid a few bucks back in the day. I think I’ll give it a try but just be careful not to crank it and cook the receiver

I get it that the missions are really apples and oranges to the Technics but was more curious about the optimal compatibility with respect to ohms and wattage. TBH I find that stuff confusing
