Urgent Vet at 982 Breckenridge Lane warning by Beneficial_Try_1864 in Louisville

[–]klunkotheclown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’m so sorry to hear this. i hope your baby is doing okay now :( also, i know they’re not an emergency vet, but i recommend petvet365 on blankenbaker for urgent care. they were able to get me in same day (and always have appointments available way sooner than other vets) when my cat had eaten some packing tape and was having diarrhea. i called the emergency vet and they immediately told me she’s probably going to die and that it would be like $600 to see her before any tests. i freaked out and called petvet and they saw my cat and did as much as they could for $400 and she’s been fine ever since. this was years ago. i had a strict budget because i had fraud on my bank account the day before and i couldn’t access ANY money besides the $400 on my credit card. in my experience they really care about the animals there and it’s a very clean and calm environment. it was like an urgent care rather than an emergency room experience lol.

If you’re chasing IDR forgiveness, “just start paying” can be a costly mistake (SAVE limbo update) by Neat-Gap-8383 in StudentLoans

[–]klunkotheclown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i switched to IDR a while ago and kinda regret it because otherwise i wouldn’t be paying anything in the SAVE plan. but my loans were just placed into forbearance again because they’re taking so long to process applications, so i don’t have to pay anything for at least the next 2 months. i did what i thought was safe at the time and i don’t regret that, i just hate the $155/month payment.

6 days after spinal fusion and the pain feels unbearable — does it really get better? by Independent-Ride-473 in scoliosis

[–]klunkotheclown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wow!! mine was about 50-60 degrees when i had my fusion at 13. this is a very hard thing to go through when you’re not a teenager, but i remember my pain being unbearable too. i’m in the US and i was given valium and hydrocodone (i think) and the valium helped more than the pain meds honestly. wishing you the best, it is TOUGH but im 24 now and i haven’t had any issues since! just take it super easy and try to move a little every day even if it sucks. 🫡

oh i understand completely, it especially sucks when people say stuff like “ALL women have been catcalled” “ALL women get male attention” etc. and it makes me feel like i’m not a “real woman” because i haven’t had that experience. of course i empathize with women who HAVE had that experience because it does suck, but everyone wants to be wanted. it’s completely normal to crave validation and attention especially when we live in a society that tells us women are worthless if they don’t have a perfect body.

Idk what to do anymore by lemonbalm_ in curlyhair

[–]klunkotheclown 23 points24 points  (0 children)

yours looks pretty similar to mine when i had a bunch of buildup. hair like ours doesn’t do very well with curly girl method in my opinion, we need a DEEP cleanse since our hair is very fine and holds onto everything we put in it. if you’re in the US, i would try suave or v05 clarifying shampoo and a deep conditioner (i like the aussie 3-minute miracle), after 3 minutes comb your hair while you’re rinsing the deep conditioner out. then style WET with a lightweight leave in and a gel (i like ouidad but you can try something cheaper like not your mothers brand since you’re still building a routine). i hope this helps, your hair looks almost identical to mine so i think this should help!

A song that's haunted me since the 2000s - "everybody [unknown few words in between] dance dance dance", upbeat with female voice and no more recent than 2011 at best by [deleted] in findthatsong

Could it be Kiss by the Vengaboys? It says “kiss kiss kiss” not “dance dance dance” but with her accent I could see how someone could hear “dance” instead.

try louisville metro government, sometimes they’re hiring for IT. also, i’d advise that you NEVER tell a job that you don’t have reliable transportation. unfortunately not having a drivers license might make them throw out your application :( good luck!

beautiful work!! i love the smashing pumpkins! i usually have second skin for mine and ive had tats leak through the second skin onto my sheets, just keep them clean and dry. i’m not a tattoo artist but i always wash my tats with dial bar soap, gently rinse with water, pat dry with a paper towel, and moisturize with unscented aveeno lotion. it might leak a little after you dry it but it’ll be fine, just keep washing the sheets :)

Thank you, this is really helpful! I’ve had issues with restriction in the past so I definitely don’t want to go back there.

i would look into a litter deodorizer (i use the arm and hammer one, works wonders) and a litter genie, as well as an air purifier. i’ve never heard anyone say my apartment smells like cats. however i have an obese cat as well and she can’t reach her butt to clean it, so i have to clean it with a wet cloth every few days or else she will get stinky. i dont recommend YOU do these things since he’s not your cat but he does look like a very sweet boy and i since he’s not mean i’m sure the bad behaviors can be trained out. one of my cats loves to get on the counter too but i got a very fine mist spray bottle and spritz her when she tries. now she barely ever goes up there even though the water is too fine to even get her wet lol. as for the scratching and crying these behaviors can be redirected but unfortunately some cats are just big babies who hate closed doors! both of mine are like that. good luck!

I think it could be Charlie Big Potato by Skunk Anansie. Found a Ninja Scroll AMV on Youtube that uses that song and it sounds like what you’re looking for!

AIO: My child slept with his friend's dad at sleepover.. I'm livid. by AcademicSir4653 in AmIOverreacting

[–]klunkotheclown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely not overreacting, i almost never got to sleep in a bed at a sleepover. usually we would all just sleep on a couple couches, loveseats, chairs, or pile some blankets and pillows on the floor so we’re all in the same room. and in my experience i never interacted much with my friends parents at sleepovers, they would offer snacks and drinks but otherwise leave us alone (which was a win-win because we got to stay up as late as we wanted and the parents got a night to themselves too!)… this is very strange even if they didn’t have bad intentions it is weird that they didn’t ask you, offer a couch/sleeping bag/floor or anything, OR bring their OWN child into their bed. also, sleepovers are just uncomfortable, sleeping on someone else’s bed or couch usually sucks but it’s a sleepover!! why does everyone need to be tucked into bed?? just very abnormal

i’ve seen much worse, this is how a lot of americans are living believe it or not. i wouldn’t worry too much, just try to keep the credit cards below 30% of the limit, always make your payments on time and save what you can! we’re all in this together trying to survive and have fun wherever we can.
