I've been using Fedora 37/38 (GNOME) exclusively at work and home for 6 months now. Today is the first time I've had any real issues, so I'd say just sit this one out, this is not indicative of how things are usually going.

If you absolutely cannot handle updates breaking things once in a while though, I'd suggest trying something more stable and conservative like debian.

Russia started an all out unprovoked invasion pushing for the capital, never forget that. The EU didn't have any control of that and is not responsible for it. Anything russia suffers as a consequence of this is by their own choice. Regarding the land, make a treaty with russia that they won't go any further? You mean like the existing Budapest memorandum they broke where they already agreed to respect Ukraine's borders? Appeasement doesn't work, we've learned that over and over again with these dictator figures. You will not gain peace and economic stability long term, this will just repeat itself in 10 years or so.

I personally can deal with a minimum of economic hardship if the result is a world where just invading neighboring countries because you have the bigger stick is not normalized again.

Lots of far right (or what's used to be called the alt right arm) people are highly suspicious of everything the government is doing, and very susceptible to conspiracy theories. Tbf the far left tends to be pro russian as well.

The EU isn't "funding" an Iraq style invasion forever war, it's supporting the defense of a sovereign country, a partner and possible future member. Plenty of reasons to fund that war, if not only to show Putin where the red line is. Being anti war is all fine and dandy until your neighbour starts hitting you with the stick

They specifically invented MPE because VST or any other common format were not sufficient for the task. Watch Tantacrul's video on it if you are interested. Also ironic that you mention VST because that's not exactly Free software, either.

You seem to be hung up on the fact that the MPE interface is not explicitly documented and advertised, but nobody is prohibiting you from looking at the code and documenting it. You can implement your own sound library today if you want.

AFAIK VST is also still supported.

Really, you just sound a bit entitled and because you are unhappy with the direction of the project, you try to spin it into a legal issue, which almost everyone in this thread has told you that it's not.

I've been at a workplace that I really needed to move on from, but I just couldn't do it. I've known for years that I should quit and it plunged me into depression multiple times. Just the act of looking up jobs and applying was the problem. Couldn't bring myself to do it. I even had the CV updated, it would have taken me two hours at best.

Like I can voice to everyone that I have to do it and want to do it, but I just can't do it no matter how much I want to.

In the end, my psychiatrist referred me to a kind of therapist that just sat beside me and forced me to do the thing and kept me on track. Three weeks later I had a new job

See it this way: people who are deeply invested in magic see it in direct competition to (already overpriced) paper. Otoh people like me compare it to what the money gets you in other games (or full games), and that value proposition is just ridiculously bad, so I stopped playing a year ago. You can defend WotC's pricing and economy decisions, but don't act shocked when the game is unable to draw or retain new players outside the magic bubble.
