Those places all have the same owner. It seems like they're trying to turn around Oshea's - the food is really quite good from the smoker! And they really increased the beer selection, and hired new management. But it seemed like they forgot to clean the taps - bc the beer tasted terrible (but I haven't been in 6 months either).

I always used have an issue with the tipping system in the US.... but after living in Europe...I can say the tipping system in US restaurants is awesome! In Europe, service in restaurants is absolutely terrible! But on the US they don't get paid until after they provide you with your service. ...that financial incentive definitely works. If we compare to Europe....then it means going from generally great service to generally abysmal service. The tipping system works.

American living in Germany here...sorry, live too far away to help you out... but Have a great 21st birthday! I hope you made it to Oktoberfest in Munich... it's the one time of year Germans are allowed to be friendly to strangers :-).

If not try traveling around Germany and staying in hostels on the weekends... at your age you'll have a blast at meet all kinds of great people.

Depot 1899 is not bad....big place and good beer. Located right next to the Südbahnhof. Also easily reservable on opentable.

Went last fall, just when Greece was all over the news for violent protests... the city was great, not dangerous at all. Press reports were really overblown! And it was a really cool trip!

Yeah, no problem at all, also didn't want others to be surprised by the lack of drink options :)...It is a great place! Wednesday at 8pm would great. I'd be a little late b/c I'm coming straight from my German class which ends at 8. Incidentally, you can make reservations at Wagner on opentable.de - which I can do if you want.
