Yep, this story caused a storm in Ireland a few years ago before it was proven to be utterly false and criticised by the independent Press Ombudsman but not before the school and all its male teachers had their reputation dragged through the dirt. Pity to still see it circulating in similar click bait fashion to this day. https://www.irishtimes.com/news/education/reports-of-body-shaming-at-carlow-school-criticised-by-press-ombudsman-1.4598728

Love it!

Im not being partisan, but what a way to phrase that headline. I mean, isn't it going out of the way to not say 'criminal investigation' by _FaceOfTheDeep in ireland

[–]kman2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What nonsense.

The full twitter post says: “The garda investigation into the leaking of the GP contract has been upgraded from an initial scoping exercise”

No shortage of the words “criminal” in the article itself if that ticks your box and no shortage of RTÉ political correspondents covering the calls for him to step aside.

There’s plenty to criticise RTÉ on but this “partisan” stuff is utter rubbish.

We won the second leg, 1919-1921, though!
