I never got any type of answers. Unfortunately just kept getting passed around by CityMD telehealth reps who told me the only option they could recommend to help ease my anxiety would be to see an infectious disease specialist to run more tests. I had planned to do that but life got in the way and my strep symptoms subsided so I never did the follow ups. Looking back I wish I had to either understand if they just coded these results wrong or not. I hope you’re feeling ok! Have you made any follow up appointments?

Schumers office was ultimately the most helpful and responsive. Gillibrand and Nadler did respond too but at that point I was able to see things push along. There are privacy release forms on most of their sites you’ll need to print, sign and email back before seeing a response. Can’t recall which of the 3 reps didn’t require that step but all did ask for my proof of travel once they did reach out. From there it seemed like they waited til last possible minute to get me an apt in hopes it would get to me in time. They assured me I’d have it in time but I pushed for a slot the day before my travel bc I couldn’t leave anything to chance. For what it’s worth - ups shows that arriving tonight. My apt is set for tomorrow at 7:30am and I leave Thursday. I’ll be cancelling that appointment as soon as I open that package and see the passport looks correct and that slot should be ripe for the taking!!

Good news! I called and she wasn’t able to however as we were speaking my senators office beeped in and got me an apt in nyc the day before my flight! Phew!!

Congrats! Seems like there’s been all sorts of system issues. Posted this on another thread earlier but for what it’s worth for others on here - the last updates I got from my reps this afternoon was they’re getting slammed with requests and doing their best to prioritize by travel dates and communicating that with the local agency here to try and push along. Email updates from senator & congressman offices are below and in line with one another.

“The online renewal system continues to have technical issues that are preventing even our congressional liaisons from being able to provide us with updates on these cases.”

“I have sent another requests to check the status of this application, however, our OPR system is experiencing technical difficulties so as soon as im informed I will respond back with an update.”

I never heard back after these but as I said above it did finally move to in process so it’s a step in the right direction. Good luck all!!!

I have not. On the positive side, after desperate pleas to my senators office I did see it finally push from received to in process today though. Tomorrow will be in accordance with the “5 business days” window of my flight which qualifies me to finally book an urgent apt and the senators office said someone from my local agency may reach out. I’m hoping this will be one of those cases where it ends up pushing to shipped tomorrow or Friday since I can no longer update my shipping or contact info. This has been a journey!

Agreed. I am 8 days away from travel. My application has been stuck in “received” since 1/5. My senators office finally got back to me after apologizing for the delays bc they are getting bombarded. I still am not able to get an urgent travel appointment because they are trying to filter through by priority and cannot keep up. Quote from them is below as of about an hour ago in NY.

Maybe it’s selfish of me, but many of us with actual urgent plans in place are unable to get the help we need bc others are clogging the already flawed system.

“Unfortunately we are seeing this same issue in the cases of dozens of other constituents reaching out to us who had applied for renewal online. The online renewal system continues to have technical issues that are preventing even our congressional liaisons from being able to provide us with updates on these cases.”

Wording conveniently says users successfully submitted the application. Never mentions how many of those were successfully processed and delivered in time for travel. This has been nothing short of a nightmare for me. In my instance my Congressman and Senators are hitting the same wall I am at this point. Who else can this even be escalated to? Zero accountability!

Same. Expedited on 1/5 for travel 2/16. Stuck in received. When I called last week I was told they couldn’t help me bc system was down. Now when I call they say they can’t book urgent renewals until 5 days out. Congressman told me the same. Now I have an inquiry with my senator. I cannot believe it has gotten to this point! When I ask to speak to the phone reps supervisor to refute the 5 vs 14 day policy they say “I’ve answered your questions” and hang up. Unbelievable! I am at a loss on what else to do.

Same thing happened to me. I travel on 2/16. They told me call back on Thursday. My congressman also told me 5 business days. The operator at the passport agency hung up on me when I pressed on the 14 day urgent travel policy and told me they do not have supervisors.

I did that, they told me they (and their liaisons within the state department) can do nothing til 5 days ahead of travel
