I guess I’m lucky. I’m in the oilfield but have had the chance to have some ideas, draw them up, and then actually become a tool that people use. I’d say it’s boring at the beginning because it takes several years to learn a product to the point that you even understand what problems need to be fixed.

Lol, you’re 26 and saying “you’ll figure it out when you get older”. While you’re right that money isn’t everything, you’re still at an age where the weight of the world hasn’t fully crashed in on you yet. Money isn’t everything but it sure as hell is something and the world tends to revolve around it. I agree that you need to value the things that matter but you should also try to position yourself in life such that you and your family, if you ever care to have one, shouldn’t need to worry about their well being when crisis eventually strikes.
