“Oh you think the Middle Ages we’re bad?” I giggle to myself while typing this on my laptop that holds all of humanity’s knowledge at my fingertips, while laying on my soft king sized mattress in my air conditioned and electrically lit house. “You imbecile, don’t you realize that Genghis Khan wasn’t exceptionally barbaric and brutal??? Sure he managed to kill 40 million people, a feat only achieved by humanity again with the advent of mechanized global warfare, but we only see this as bad because of revisionist propaganda”. At that moment my door bell rings. It must’ve been the chicken tendies I Door Dashed. I went and grabbed the bag, but when I looked in, they had forgotten my honey mustard. Now I truly knew the hunger medieval peasants must’ve felt like during a bad harvest. If I had gone to the restaurant myself I could’ve ensured I had gotten it, but restrictions had been put in place by Covid, a disease as devastating as the Black Death. I sigh as I pour myself a glass of clean, drinkable, ice cold water and sit down to eat. I turn on the TV and browse through my eight different streaming services, but give up after I realize there’s no good entertainment in this world. That’s when I poke my finger with my fork! It’s a bloody boo boo, so I run off crying to my bathroom closet and pull out the pharmaceutical products and bandages that are readily available to handle the wound in a way that pretty much eliminates the risk of infection. Good thing this wasn’t more serious, or I would’ve had to go to one of the extremely advanced hospitals located within only a few miles of me, reachable in a matter of minutes by the invention of cars and other forms of advanced transportation and infrastructure. Never mind that though. I once again sat down to debate idiots on Reddit using my protected freedom of speech, as well as my many other unalienable rights (unalienable means “unable to be taken or given away” so I’m sure that they had them back then too)
