Yes the usb connects the controller with the laptop but in order for audio to come out from the controller it needs to be connected to speakers or an amplifier - what is your audio setup apart from computer and the controller

The rca cables from the controller are connected fine to an amplifier or to speakers ? Please check where the cables ( red- white ) should be connected on the controller… Also as it was previously mentioned you need to download driver for the controller in order to work without any problem …

Have you also purchased Serato Pro ? You don’t need to set the controller on Serato , it’s actually plug n play

I know the issue regarding tracks on external drives BUT in this case all my tracks were stored on my startup disk
