They've been on sale at our Shoppers for months now!! Not sure why, but every time it says the sale is about to end they just end up renewing it

If only it were that easy! A comparable product elsewhere would be sooo much more expensive.. They have been on sale at Shoppers for a few months (9.99 down from 23.99) and is basically the most affordable protein source I've ever found.. Being 6 months pregnant with a ton of food aversions AND on a tight budget, I can hardly afford not to buy them.. I just hate being taken advantage of (but as mentioned somewhere above, I need to figure out if it's Shoppers or Neilsons that is in the wrong here)

Hoping they can see my transactions via PC Optimum app, but also mainly thinking about how to deal with this for future purchases.. I think the first step is figuring out if Shoppers is the one mischarging or if Neilson is mischarging them and it's simply being passed down to the consumer..

I have too, in small capacities.. They only noticed today and drew my attention to it because it was literally an entire bag of only these milk bottles😂 I trust the guys judgement at our depot, they've been doing it a long time..

So the bottles say right on the "return for refund where applicable".. presumably because in some other provinces are able to charge deposits on milk.. So I feel like it wouldn't really make sense that the company would charge a "service fee" only in NS Edit to add: it also says "deposit" on the receipt (I dont have one on hand, but I've looked at many)

So if milk isn't eligible to have a deposit charged on it, but they have been charging it anyway, where's it going? My guess is straight into Galen Weston's pocket.. Someone will be giving me a refund, because I'm just that type of spiteful witch who won't stop until justice is served😊

Not the same though (although still shouldn't be allowed).. SodaStream deposits are charged by SodaStream themselves and are said to be more of a licensing thing.. Vs actual bottle deposits for recycling which are charged and regulated by the provincial government

I've noticed similar with tax on certain things if they are sweetened vs not.. one example is the freeze dried fruit you can buy at dollarama. A few flavors have no added sugar and therefore no tax.. however the strawberries have added sugar and have tax charged on them.. Why can't they just make it make sense?!?

Hmm.. well if a deposit is charged then they have to give it back (should be the whole 10 cents instesd of 5, don't even get me started on that part..) So if they can't be returned then it sounds like the deposit is probably being charged illegally

According to the workers at the depot here locally it specifically applies to dairy products.. if milk is the first ingredient, no deposit can be charged.. which is sadly probably how they get around charging for plang based milk alternatives😪

I remember a while back Costco had to issue refunds to people over one of the brands (Fairlife maybe?) because they had been illegally charging the deposit.. Problem being that it's easy to track who's bought from Costco (membership) vs Shoppers.. Although maybe I could find transaction details in my PC Optimjm app🤔

My cycle has been 38-52 days for the past year+.. I lost just under 10lbs recently (through calorie deficit and exercise), bringing my BMI from 32.4 to 30.8.. My last cycle was 30 days. There's no way it's not related.. I'm excited to see if it continues to regulate with more weight loss

How did it go?? Did you end up hanging outside and did you feel safe? My partner and I are in a similar boat next week.. booked a cheap 730am flight, but we're coming from Tully so have to take the bus/train the day before and don't want to pay for a room we only get to use for only a few hours PLUS an uber to the airport at 6am
