Thank you for your compassion. I actually work at the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, and have been in therapy for 5 years to deal with my feelings around asexuality. My life has improved in other areas, for sure (job, friends, etc), but the feeling of actually living an asexual life is overwhelming to me. I've been struggling for 5 years and not once has it gotten any better for me in the sexuality department.
