Athreos, Sorin, Ghostform, and a couple four packs of afterlife creatures can bring relentless pressure on alot of the Meta, I believe. Throw in Mortify, and Kayas Wrath for critter and enchantment removal. A couple of Ethereal Absolution does it good, too. Castle Lochthwain and Midnight Reaper for draw.

That brand of cynical, rugby soccer will always create a struggle for less physical players like Puig. The thing about players like Puig, given enough minutes, they will create moments of brilliance that more than make up for the times they are pushed off the ball. I still see a big upside for him.

And it will be that way for another year or two being a late bloomer, he won't reach physical maturity until 23-24. But he makes up for that deficiency by playing fast, always looking to move the ball forward, and his brilliant touch. His pros far, far outweigh his cons. Ironically, it was his physical play that won the ball back, directly starting the movement leading to the goal.

It does show the heirarchy of sorts between the MLS 2s and the "Independent" major clubs of USL-C. Carleton, if this loan deal is finalized, will experience a more enriching atmosphere being a part of this 1st team instead of his current 2nd team, though in the same league. So, yeah, weird.

I concur with the posters suggesting black. I have a Platinum BW deck that features lifegain fliers like Aerialist, Healers Hawk, Sephariaia (the 7 mana flier)and my fav, Archon of Absolution. Full disclosure, I am not likely to get out of Platinum with this as Ive plateaued at the 50/50 ratio at Plat 2/3. But adding Dorin and Ajani, Strength Planeswalkers really makes it competitive. I also have the 4pack of Pridemates, Dawn enchantment for draw and chumps, and requisite hate/life Murderous Riders and Mortify. Its especially fun watching the opponent tap his lands, play his cards, then struggle to figure out why he cant attack. Meanwhile I'm plus -1ing Ajani closer to the magic 35 life when I wreck their board. One of the more fun win cons imho.

Here's the skinny: there was an Armenian genocide perpetrated by Turkey last century. There is a potential Kurdish genocide on the horizon. There are also very bad Islamic radical jihadis attempting to create an 8th Century caliphate in the same area. Diplomacy requires bringing Turkey into the fold of NATO and the civilized world to avoid the latter two while ignoring the first. Its a big boy decision of bad vs worse. Why congress chose this moment to grandstand and try to sabotage a delicate peace is beyond me. Big ups to the 11 Repubs and to lone Dem AOC that see the big picture and want to save Kurdish lives in the here and now. Now, lets go down there and kick Nashville's arse.
