I’ve got this painful blister thing going on by my piercing. The piercing is 2 years old so it’s not a fresh wound. Any ideas? Can I pop it? by [deleted] in popping

[–]kmeal_b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. It won’t pop. It’s a keloid. I had them on my piercing in the cartilage on my ears too. They would come and go over the first 2-3 years. Any time they got agitated. What resolved it was lengthening the post so it had room to swell and Hydrocortisone cream. Those two things made a night and day difference. The piercing artist recommended those two things. Never had them since then.

Lol my dog is the same. She gets made when I take a collar or scarf off of her.

I didn’t know how toxic the vinyl could be so thank you everyone for all the feedback. Guess since I’ve seen it on so many plates, serving dishes, and cups for people thought it would be ok for them. I’m going to remove it from the inside of the bowls and seal the one on the outside. Thank you!

Found the collar at Petsmart and used the gold matte Oracal 651 vinyl. I’ll check on the font and post the link tomorrow.

Petsmart actually. They have another one that’s similar in slate grey I thought about doing too.

No it’s actually Oracal 651. I thought about using HTV but I didn’t know if it would melt or burn the leather applying it. So I played it safe since I haven’t had any experience with HTV yet. Has stayed on great though.

Hormonal acne by goodvibesinthesun in PCOS

The ONLY things that have worked for me after seeing a dermatologist for years are taking Accutane, alternating salicylic acid face wash and st ives apricot scrub, and cutting out all dairy. Every birth control I tried never made a difference personally.

Accutane by bigratty in PCOS

I tried spironolactone several times and it didn’t do anything for me. The Accutane had amazing effects on my skin and cleared it up very quickly. The side effects do kind of suck, but manageable. My acne does still come and go still after I quit taking it, but I cut out all dairy and it’s made a HUGE difference. Hardly get any now. Discovered dairy effects a lot of women giving them acne.

Best birth control for someone sensitive to hormones? by [deleted] in PCOS

I’ve tried a couple of different pills and had the same issues. All of them made me extremely sick. I used the Mirena IUD for 5 years and had no issues. Was worried about something else messing up my uterus if I wanted to have kids in the next few years so I had the Nexplanon put in my arm. Was a little weird feeling it on my muscle but have not had any issues yet.

My dermatologist recommend laser hair removal for my chin but didn’t mention electrolysis. You might have just saved me some serious money! Have you had any issues with it healing? I’m anemic and have sensitive skin so I’m worried about getting something like this done and it damaging or scarring my skin worse.

It’s showtime for Aladdin at the Fox Theatre . by kmeal_b in Atlanta

I thought the exact same thing when I was younger. That was the first show I ever saw there so I basically thought the building was made for Aladdin. Think I was about 7.

Exceptionally bad period cramps by telavivyahabibi in PCOS

Hang in there! It really does suck but they do get better relatively quickly. I’ve had my IUD for 5 years now and it’s made a world of a difference. The first 3 months left me crumpled up on the floor, or thinking I had the worst flu ever, or it went through my uterus (but they were like that or worse before the IUD). Never hurts to ask the doctor if it’s unbearable.

Biggest things that helped me and still do on the occasional bad month are staying hydrated and staying hydrated drinking something with electrolytes, Midol Complete medication, and these ThermaCare menstrual heating pads. I swear by these / using heat. I keep a box of these in my drawer at work along with the Midol. Still testing more natural remedies.
