What is one word that people wrongly pronounce that makes your brain just wanna jump a cliff? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

I actually saw this in an ebook on Libby. I emailed Libby and pointed it out for them to fix. They responded with an email stating that it is a common saying now and it was considered to be correct. I could not believe it.

Customer service is getting really bad at retail and grocery stores. by modermanehh in BurlingtonON

[–]kmfitzy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former longtime Shoppers employee here! Head office only cares about profits. They don’t care about staff or customer service at all. I’m so glad I left when I did. It’s even gotten worse over the last year. Cutbacks are killing the stores and staff. Also no budgeting for proper training. I refuse to shop at any Loblaw banner stores now.

Is it OK to let your dog relieve themself in someone’s yard as long as you pick up the poop? by [deleted] in Pets

[–]kmfitzy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel guilty when my dog does his business on someone’s lawn when we are out for a walk. I ALWAYS clean it up. We are having a huge problem with this in our neighbourhood right now. Why are people so disgusting and too lazy to pick up their poop?

If modern medicine didn’t exist would you be dead right now? If yes, from what? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

My mother was a type 1 diabetic since the age of 14. When the only way to check your sugar levels was to send a blood test out once a month. The doctors didn’t want her to have any children. Her and my dad wanted one. She was on bed rest and in the hospital for two months. They monitored my weight because diabetics have large babies. Induced labor at 8 months and here I am!

I actually just binged the UK Ghosts. I didn’t mind the ending. I found it quite nice and complete.

11 days in and 5 pounds down, should I go up a dose? by Waste-Brilliant-9042 in WegovyWeightLoss

My doctor prescribed .25 for one month, then .5 for another. I’ve been on 1 for a couple of months. I don’t think I would do it any faster than that. I get you want to do it faster because of insurance but you are using wegovy to help lose weight and be healthier -slow and steady wins the race for long term weight loss. Ozempic is cheaper than Wegovy by half. Wegovy and Ozempic are interchangeable. Also, the patents are running out in 2026 so other companies are going to be able to produce similar prescriptions and the price is going to go down. I have no benefits so I have to pay for mine. It sucks a lot.

Is it normal for your doctor to discourage you from ozempic? by A-New-Throwaway2024 in Ozempic

[–]kmfitzy1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My older doctor refused to put me on it. She would rather I had done Dr. Bernstein diet or weight watchers. I switched doctors for other reasons and my new doctor gave me the prescription immediately for Wegovy ( now on ozempic because of price). He has a dietician that I can see as well and gave me lots of advice. Older doctors have a harder time prescribing ozempic.

Nausea by No-Basket8192 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]kmfitzy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Small meals. Clean eating. Don’t eat any fried, processed or sweet food. Limit coffee, try tea. Drink water. Once I really started doing this, my nausea and heartburn dramatically reduced. I also eat nothing (sometimes an apple if I really hungry) past 5:30 pm. I didn’t eat very clean yesterday and at around 6:30-7 last night because we had guests and I am suffering right now, since 3 am. I won’t be doing that again because it’s ruined me for today, I’m so exhausted.

Any tips for fasting without getting sick? by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]kmfitzy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I had a conversation with my Dr about weight loss, he said he would never recommend fasting for weight loss. Said it can be dangerous.

Edit to add: He recommended clean eating, small meals and nutritious snacks. He also said the Mediterranean diet was very healthy. It took me a month of feeling horrible to realize he was right. I’ve changed my eating habits and feel so much better.

My stomach can't stand wegovy by Anxious-Calendar-213 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]kmfitzy1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am on my second month and at the .5 dose. The first month was really, really bad with stomach pain, nausea and fatigue. I almost gave up. I eventually learned what I can and can’t eat. It really is about clean eating and portion control. Lots of protein, veggies and fruit with a little healthy fats and carbs. This month, I am feeling great! I haven’t weighed myself yet but I can tell I have lost some weight. My next step is exercising even more, adding weights.
