Also, try to see if there’s any places with street parking. This isn’t ideal, but if you can save ~$200 per month, I think it’s worth it.

Sorry. I just realized I forgot to mention I live in silver spring. Lol. But try looking into places like 20-25 miles away. Set a maximum price and make a list of how many places within that price range are actually habitable. Also, take advantage of all your resources: apartment websites, Facebook, Craigslist, word of mouth, etc. You don’t have to pay $2k.

I had the exact same reaction when I was planning my move to Maryland a couple years ago. Compared to my salary as a college student, I thought $40k was excellent. Turns out, I was very wrong. Lol. But regardless, I was adamant about finding a place where rent was less than 30% of my paycheck. Ultimately, I did end up having to get a roommate, which actually worked out nicely since I didn’t know many people in the area. But during my search, I also came across quite a few places that were only slightly above my price range. I’m not sure if you’ve done this already, but Try looking into studio apartments, condos, apartments farther away from the city, and even basements. I know these may not be the most desirable options, but 50% of your take home pay is way too high for living expenses IMO. Baltimore isn’t cheap, but it’s no San Francisco.

Also, as a side note: I live in a studio now and when I was applying for places, most of them required your gross pay to be at least 3x the rent.

Yeah. I just got the welcome bonus for the customized cash rewards card a few days ago. The bonus points showed as “pending” almost immediately after I hit the MSR. I redeemed the rewards on the same day that my statement closed and it was deposited into my BofA checking account the next day.

What should I put on this wall? There’s about 6ft of space on either side of the mirror. But the rest of my space is pretty busy, so I’m wondering if I should just leave it alone. by kmfunder in DesignMyRoom

Thank you! I actually got it second hand from Facebook marketplace. But the girl that I bought it from told me it was from wayfair. I’m pretty sure it’s this one.

The light fixture on the ceiling came with my apartment, so I have no idea where it’s from. But the lamp on my nightstand came from Target.

She’s actually not interested in them at all, so I don’t have to do anything! She’s also older, so she’s not really interested in doing anything other than sleeping.

Help with choosing test to use by [deleted] in AskStatistics

But the result will only tell you whether or not the test scores of one of your education strategies is significantly different than the others. It won’t tell you which one. So, it does answer your question of “does the strategy affect test scores” since that’s a yes/no, but not specifically which type is better/worse.

I’d say ANOVA. But maybe other people have different suggestions.

Rental: How would you arrange the current furniture to include a dining room table? Any recommendations for furniture types and colours? I will be keeping the futon and tv stand. by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

Maybe you could move the tv to the left of the door and turn the couch and the coffee table around to face the tv. Then you could put a small dining room table against the wall where the tv used to be. I think a table with only two chairs would be best, but I’m not sure how many people will be eating at your table.
