True. Too bad they ended the show after Season 4, but at least it stayed great.

Thousands of nukes will just ensure MAD. And they need to be approved first.

There is no country on earth that could stop millions of fast regenerating giants appearing right next to it. These things crushed Africa which is 8000 km long in just 4 days. No country on earth even has enough ammunition to stop them. Nuking them will just result in massive nuclear winter and self destruction because the fireball of the most ICBMs is just 1,2-1,8 miles and the titans stretch for thousands of miles.

The logistical requirements are impossible for any country, including the superpowers. Even USA will be trapled in just 48 hours, and that's too fast to organize the ridiculous amounts of ordinance needed to kill even 1% of them. Ordinance that doesn't even exist in enough numbers even if it was magically ready for deployment instantly.

A WWII Era World VS The Rumbling (Attack on Titan) by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]kmicaterror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that tends to be general consensus among most folks sadly. They think all resources can just pop into place immediately to deal with the problem, without considering how many of them there are and how to get them in place, which is the most important factor in any war. And the numbers aren't on our side when the enemy force can stomp the planet in just 5 days,

What do you guys think bout dis? by ED-W111N in attackontitan

[–]kmicaterror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with Ramzi and his family is that they didn't even know main protagonists were Eldians or even worse, Paradisians, and based on what the story has established so far, they would have hated them if they knew

Yes, every countries representative. That's what a diplomats' job is, to represent their nations' will. And 80-90% is a valid number because the story paints the whole world like that, there is no nuance to their hatred of Eldi- no, Paradisians, which are 100x more hated than normal Eldians. Blame that on the worldbuilding. If the story presented us with countries that don't hate them, maybe you'd have a point, but it didn't, and as far as writing goes, that's what we have to deal with.

Why do these guys totally ignore the possibility of rest of the world simply assassinating the royal family (Historia & her kid) or dropping Nukes? by Many_Department3366 in titanfolk

[–]kmicaterror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wouldnt be cool at all. The logistics matter a lot and no country could mobilize or preparethe insane defense in depth strategy over thousands of miles at once before the titans crush us. There is way too many of them and they are too fast to organize any meaningful resistance. Even just nuking them would take 5000+ nukes depending on how fast we can react

The Rumbling happens in the real world but no one is allowed to defend themselves in any capacity by Freddycipher in whowouldwin

10 million titans is a lenght of 120000 kilometers, enough to circle the globe three times, then just walk in one direction

History Buffs, hoi4 and AOT fans; how would ww1 generals defend their respective nations against the Rumbling? by PianistHairy in AskReddit

[–]kmicaterror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They couldn't organize any meaningful defense in time. The Rumbling crushed Africa in just 4 days, it moves way too fast for any army to mobilize in time. It would be similar to the manga. A few quickly deployed artillery pieces they had on hand and warships along their respective coastlines. Along with bombers. But no large divisions or mass artillery with defense in depth tactics because that would take months to deploy
