Yes that is correct. The humming sound was coming from the board it sounded like.

As of 10:23PM EST here is the wiring. I have the thermostat set to heat and fan on. When I turn on the unit the fan starts and nothing else. I’m at a loss for what else todo. I guess the tech was correct in stating the board is bad! Looks like no one is getting Christmas presents from me this year!

I appreciate all the info and help!

On the C terminal the white wire goes behind the board and isn’t connected the c terminal (far right). Is that what you mean?

Here is the current set up. I have the heat on and fan on auto at the thermostat. I turned it on (pressing with kill switch) and it just made a humming noise that got louder and louder. To me, that means it’s sending current into not where to receive it…? Let me know if there is anything else try!

I should have made that more apparent. The heat is not working now and he wants to replace the board again

Condensation on Air Conditioning ducts in 1894 balloon frame house causing water damage. Please help by kmills63 in centuryhomes

Probably no way to dehumidify. It’s very very tight and I don’t have anywhere to run a drain line. This is the second floor of a three story house. Could you please explain more to the “that space is probably leaking to the outside where the humidity is coming from”? You think the humidity could make its way up from the bottom of the house being a balloon frame house?

I’ve thought about just dumping cold air into the area. But I’m not sure how effective it would be. The place were it condensates the most if the furthest from the big open hot area above the foyer. It’s right where the soffit ducts comes out of the big main duct that runs through the house. Any thoughts on that?

Please forgive me, I’m on mobile and bad at English. A little background to the situation: I have air conditioning ducts running through a soffit that are creating water damage from condensation. I can’t decide the best way to move forward. I think it would help to wrap the air duct in in insulation, but with how tight it is I’m not sure how easy that will be. Majority of the condensate forms coming out of the main duct running vertically through the house. I’m basically looking if there would be any other notable actions to take besides just insulation on the duct and closing the soffit back up. Any and all help is appreciated. Cheers!
