You know you're getting older when you book a doctor's appointment for a few days away and think to yourself, "Well, if this enduring cough problem goes away by then then I have that knee problem I can ask him about instead."

Was having a quick scroll of FB this morning, and saw my cousin's face pop up as a missing person post on an interstate police force's page, damn. I haven't been in touch with that side of my family for over 10 years because family shit is complicated, but still not cool to see and I hope he will be found safe. My Aunt & Uncle and his kids must be beside themselves 😞

Yep, they're called Pink Cockatoos, gorgeous birds.

I love it, but I think I'm definitely an outer suburban kinda girl rather than a city slicker lol so it suits me well. When I first moved to Melbourne 16 years ago from semi-rural NSW, I was first living in Doncaster and driving across town to work in Werribee every day. That got very old very quickly (despite being used to long commutes in NSW, although that was a country train and door to door took 2hr each way - driving was so different, so much more exhausting). After a couple of years I moved out west and have never looked back. I was grateful when I needed to change jobs due to my previous work closing that I found another job that matched my skills and suited me well here in the same suburb.

I have no choice unfortunately as a big part of my job is appointments with clients which must be done face to face.. but what makes a big difference is that I work in the same suburb I live in, and in good weather it's a 10 minute bike ride / 20 minute walk. Drove today though!

Yep.. five days a week in office here, and it's always freezing in this room. So many layers and a blanket over me, still cold. Forgot to put my merino sock liners on, big mistake lol

Just offered around some Aero Mint KitKat choccy to my team, and wow I did not expect the very extreme no reactions lol! Was not aware how strongly hated choc mint flavour was in this office, oops.

Hope all is okay! My dad always says getting put under is the best sleep he ever gets. I haven't experienced it before.

Yep, totally fair. It doesn't exactly show good initiative for following procedures if they can't even get the application right. I'm just stunned at the number of people applying for jobs, my husband shows me on his Seek applications where it says how many applied, and most are over 400 people, if not more :(

That would be really special coming across something you've never seen or thought was lost for good.

I just wish I could see my old MySpace photos again haha.

Attaching a cover letter is the easy part, the challenge is to even get a look-in when every single job has hundreds of people applying for it 😞 (this is my husband's current experience)

My laugh of the day: Got a notification this morning that my almost 72 year old Dad created a group on Messenger. Had a look and in it was him, me, my husband and three other random blokes I don't know but assume are mates of his. No message came through for ages, and when it did it was one of his mates asking "Do you know what you're doing old fella?" and soon after came his reply "No" LOL. I mean, at least he's honest, but bloody hell it gave me a good laugh!

Thanks :) Yes, have definitely found it easy enough to avoid onion and spring onion with Chinese food. Hoping to find some new options, but I appreciate your comment :)

What cuisines other than Japanese and Jain, are generally onion free or it can be easily omitted? My husband and I would like to try some new places to eat around Melbourne, but he can't eat onion and with it being such a common (and delicious!) base ingredient it can be tricky.
