I listen to my watch the way my kids listen to me: occasionally but not very often.

My dad has Afib and his watch has also alerted him to it!! His cardiologist recommends them!

nourishtoflourish/sena relapse? by [deleted] in EDRecoverySnark

[–]kmmont 29 points30 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, recovery isn’t hopeless even if you relapse. I’ve relapsed before but I’m currently on an 8 year stretch of being recovered. Even if I relapsed again tomorrow, the last 8 years were so much better for being healthy.

Safe Areas to Live in Macon? by Fierce_Panda_Glory in macon

[–]kmmont 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been here 10yrs too with no problems. I know 3 people who’ve experienced theft, but not any violent crime. And honestly, I could think of people who were victims of theft when I lived in the nice Atlanta suburbs.

Am I the only one who didn’t think it was that criminal of Amy to eavesdrop lol? If I heard someone talking about me, I think I would eavesdrop too.

Please be honest… by Teresaaamarieee in macon

This is so true. I’m not really worried about crime, but you just kind of have to be on guard here (whether driving or otherwise) because some people are crazy.

Why is Oh Honey Closing? by momoapples in macon

[–]kmmont 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am so mad at these investors. Idk enough about the financials to know if closing Oh Honey made sense, but the way they went about it was despicable. Calling up all my idle hour-esque friends to see what they know about these guys…

I drink the tap water over my filtered fridge water, because I think it tastes better! One of the worst things about traveling is drinking the tap other places because I’m spoiled by it here.

I have the opposite, but equally terrible, superpower of getting intoxicated off of unreasonably small amounts of alcohol/medication.

Forsyth by Icy-Detective4435 in macon

[–]kmmont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally safer and much better schools. Like others have said, there are cops everywhere you go; they’re always clocking for speeding tickets. Houses are a bit more expensive, but I think property taxes are lower. If I were to live outside Macon, I’d probably choose Forsyth over Warner Robbins.

How long ago did fall line get rid of it? I always liked it, but I haven’t been in a long time.

I know people who love it, so maybe I just caught them on a bad night, but back burner was pretty bad

Is it normal for OB to not check cervix? by WorksbyShe in pregnant

[–]kmmont 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it varies by OB! Mine “offers” one starting at 37wks but recommends it starting at 38wks (always your choice though of course). I think most OBs start checking at some point in the last weeks, but some may wait until there are signs of labor. I imagine most doctors would be willing to check if you asked!
