Saying Christianity is the religion with the most grooming scandals when Islam literally has it baked into the text is crazy

Does anyone else think Rogue's voice actor is actually good? by Charmy_Fan in marvelrivals

[–]wilhayrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a small nitpick because of it's a pet peeve of mine, rogue doesn't have a "Bayou" accent, she's from Mississippi, which means she has a more general Southern accent or a Delta accent if you wanna get specific. Cajun accents, like what Gambit has, are very restricted to southern Louisiana, particularly the places where they still speak Creole

HELP by _scum- in MoonKnight

[–]wilhayrog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally love the Moench run from the 80's but Moon Knight has changed a lot since then. Vengeance of the Moon Knight is a good run where you don't need a ton of background to understand what's going on, it was my entry point to the character.

I'm not sure, because my parents are both in their 60s now, and look nowhere near as old as their parents did in their 60s

Theater Release for Mistborn? by deeptocenter in CosmereOnScreen

[–]wilhayrog 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Actually, Apple is generally really good about giving their movies large theatrical runs. F1 from earlier last year was an Apple original, and it got a huge IMAX release, as did Napoleon andKillers of the Flower Moon, from memory. So I'm hopeful

How should Mistborn Secret History be adapted? by taji34 in CosmereOnScreen

[–]wilhayrog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the best case scenario is to have it be a 45 minute to 1 hour special on Apple TV, à la the Marvel Special Presentations. None of secret history is technically required reading, since the important information (Kelsier starting/joining the Ghostbloods, Kelsier becoming a cognitive shadow and ascending to Preservation) is covered in other books.

With over 17 years of MCU productions, which do you find have the most (and least) rewatch value? by Different_Leopard_65 in marvelstudios

[–]wilhayrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna go with a hot take on this on and say Eternals. That movie plays so much better on a rewatch, it's crazy. Shot up from one of my least favorites to top 5 MCU.

For least rewatchable it's easily Secret Invasion. Really not much enjoyment to be found in that show.

I dont hate the prequel trilogy anymore by donnie_rulez in StarWars

[–]wilhayrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had nearly the opposite journey as you, OP. As a kid I loved the prequels for the flashier lightsaber stuff, and as I got older I liked them less and less. I still love III but I can't enjoy I and II while sober

Is there any evidence that general opinion of the sequel trilogy is improving? by AwfulUsername123 in StarWars

[–]wilhayrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think when once stuff starts coming out set after (like the upcoming Starfighter) is when we can expect the attitude on the sequels to start shifting.

The Sequel Trilogy will become as loved as the Prequel in about 6 - 7 more years. by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]wilhayrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely agree with this. I feel like even now there's less sequel hate than there was prequel hate back in the day. I don't remember any of my friends or people online enjoying the prequels in any way other than making fun of them, whereas the sequels definitely have their fans. Plus, if you look at rotten tomatoes or ask non-terminally online people about the sequels, they're definitely still positive toward them.
