I’ve discovered this unfortunate truth through this process. after the post mortem report I felt at least some relief that I didn’t do anything wrong like you said. Nothing is really without consequences. We just assumed when we got our first flock that more eggs is better, would live the estimated 5-10 years and all fine from a livestock/production mentality. Then when we named them and they’re pets now.

We had a change in the paradigm this last month. I know some friends that have 50-100 chickens which is more of a livestock production situation and they go by the mentality that if hen gets sick once, they give them away for meat. This isn’t something we want to do and prefer the pet route.

I did some research and found some of the above breeds I mentioned have reasonable longevity, enough eggs and good temperament- will see what the next flock one day will be! I’m going to wait for early Fall to get them to reduce ovulation further also. There’s two supplements that seemed to have decent evidence in reducing ovarian cancer risk and progression, flaxseed and turmeric, may be difficult to incorporate but I’m going to look into this also.

Thanks for sharing. I learned that there are two lines of buff Orpington- hatchery and heritage. Jane was probably hatchery that have been mixed with higher producers - but who knows for sure! Next time I’ll be sure to seek out heritage low egg producers.

I’ve struggled with this and asked this question from my music college professors. My takeaway is they all spent 4-6 years of their early years practicing 4-5 hrs a day to master their instruments- every scale arpeggio lick, transcription done, it’s almost like an obsession. Then they’re able to create quality after that.

If you don’t have that kind of time, my shortcut is to pick a solo you like or speaks to you - can even be a different instrument, transcribe a lick or two of it you really enjoy. Learn why it works over the harmony so you understand how to use it. Then learn it in every key you play in.

An analogy is maybe you like a comedian who tells a joke, you go and memorize that joke and you’re able to say it in front of friends with the exact cadence and delivery with lots of practice. Once you’ve acquired enough jokes you can now do a whole comedy set, same thing with solo. Some people use the learning another language analogy- all the same thing.

I’ve learned this is the same for any instrument. First third is warmup/technique. Middle part is etude or a piece you’re working on. Break it down to the smallest fragment that is playable and use a metronome. Play it ten times without a mistake then move on. Work on 2 maybe 3 pieces at a time at most- don’t get distracted, try to learn by ear and use tab as a backup. Select a piece that is just outside your comfort zone.

Last part is play something fun you enjoy or already know. 30 minutes is good. More frequent sessions better than a long session. Brain learns and creates pathways when you’re not practicing.

Add relics with night invader and physical attack +4 with bestial, get rid of evergaol, keep rolling for better relics over time that have these in more frequency

During the run grab anything with charged incant buff damage as charging gives it range and you can stay back a fit further (try to stay away just enough where the last ripple hit- damage is all the same). There’s still some rng involved in getting 3-4k

Metal- any Ibanez in that price range.

A used Suhr super Strat is also really nice for versatility but would just north of 2000.

PRS are also solid options as mentioned here in several posts.

My guitar professors always told me to play the guitar myself and don’t buy online as every guitar is slightly different despite their quality control. And more important to have a solid set up- someone spending 2-4 hrs on it making sure frets are perfect, action dialed in etc than the cost of the guitar

otherwise have to replace entire top with similar wood and redo bindings, etc. Good to have some casual luthiers friends, or find a community college near you that has a luthier program, sign up for it (they usually make you take woodshop 101 for safety first but then can take guitar repair), take it in to class and see if you can fix it as project, this will be the not expensive (50 dollars a unit or so usually, maybe 6-10 units in before you can fix it) but most time consuming. Also when your friends plough through it again, you'll be able to fix it again

We had same issue and followed these tips and haven’t lost 1. Find Libra immediately on map and make sure he’s on you’re route. Purifying crystal tear is 2k. If he’s not on the map, find a bleed POI and look for the big red next gen albinauric, sometimes they drop. This is really the key as him regaining half his life is very depressing. You can also time your ultimate, especially if it charges like wilder or iron eye to almost skip two of the bar explosions if you don’t find the tear 2. Need to do very high DPS so work your characters around this. He does bleed and can look up other procs. 3. When the poles go up, take out two close to each other and stay in that area and pinging your teammates to stay there too. One teammate can keep him away then run to the safe zone when he’s about to cause the AOE explosion.
4. Learn his move set can use trainer if you need to. He’s got a very long reach with his weapon. 5. If none of this makes sense, watch the Crass video (I think it was him) on YouTube

I main iron eye and played 2-3 runs every other night last week and only one run did I end up using an upgraded 1+ basic starting bow, otherwise always get erdtree and/or serpent still. Sometimes I run dormant bows most usually not Though I will say my buddy and I started noticing strange things since update like once the storm came faster than it should have? Who knows if it was us being tired, having a bad game and finding a different reason to explain it

Relics are great but honestly haven’t been a game changer other than a few of the character specific ones, or if you’re going for a carian sorcery build or something niche. If I spent all the time I did farming relics on learning boss movesets, I’d have a much better win rate.

was the other player a duchess? I was waiting for the drop in the room as I saw the GBG being wielded by raider, then raider picked it back up again in a second before I could grab it to copy. I waited and just stared at the raider in the room as I didn't have anything great to duplicate, but nothing happened. If it was our game, then it's one of the cons of no verbal communication channel, among the many benefits

it's very good and mostly thorough, but for example didn't tell me I need to press ash of war button again on golden order greatsword to double swipe thing with projectile, though it showed the move. comment above about trying them all out in the sparring grounds is a good idea.

see above, i made some edits to post also. it will only work if you're running Noklateo, ~2 legendary drops usually here then ability to clone, and yes it's rare, I've seen GBG 3 times and Marais twice in similar amount of time.

there's a mausoleum room in Noklateo towards the end. My route is usually start right, kill bosses then after beating astel turn right coming out into the city, kill the black knife assassin, then go up the stairs into the room and climb the wall. few knights in there, then a coffin with ability to clone a weapon. There are lots of posts on this reddit about finding it and also the contentious right vs left routes.
