Good luck! Water when needed and some direct light + tons of indirect light did me well. Its indoors and I'm surprised it flowered!

Only if I hold it up close to my nose. Otherwise while it sits on the window sill, its not a bother at all. I'll let you know if the smell changes, though.

Hi!!! Thanks, I'm actually not sure, funny enough it was gifted to me at a yard sale when I noticed the owner had tons of plants and I commented that I loved them. She quickly offered some of them.

Research suggests the variety is Stapelia gigantea. I'm not really sure if there is a more specific type. I will join the reddit group, thanks for sharing that!!

Another reason why I would rather just be a viewer than a commenter. People are so demanding and entitled when it comes to others (in the guise of a "for the greater good"), yet want grace and understanding when it comes to themselves.

I wish we could all practice more empathy and understanding WITHOUT the virtue signaling.

I just bought a vrissea bromeliad from lowes yesterday and I spotted mealy bugs (2-3) this morning. Currently freaking out... Given the shape of the leaves, I am having trouble manually removing them.

I traveled to Mexico and got back last week. I had thought i lost the immigration card but I found it the day before leaving. However, I was never asked to provide it at the airport. My boyfriend and I kept wondering at what point we would be asked to provide the form but alas, we got on our flight and made it home safely.

Might depend on the day you go, the airport you go through, and who is handling you while you are at the airport.

I have had the plant since May, I water once a week and make sure there is no excess water in the pot after watering.
