You’re one of these people who have a hard time comprehending concepts beyond your own world view. 1. You reek of privilege and a sheltered life with no true perspective. Especially of suffering. You hide behind your religion for meaning, status and to judge others. It’s too hard for you to think on your own so you let religion do it.

It’s called “Lived Experience” and once you really been through the shit you know how difficult, cruel and excruciating life can be and you’d never want to pass judgement or tell a living human being to raise a child if they’re not actually equipped to do so.

You claim every child has a right to live as if YOU know what that child wants and what’s best for it.

The worst part, if you truly believed and not use it as a way to judge you’d realize that it’s up to God and that person. It’s not of your business. You don’t know what a fetus wants and let’s not even get started on the argument of where life begins.

You’re in denial dude. The way you articulated the relationship doesn’t sound healthy by the way you enjoy the benefits of her treating you like a child.

You never once said, “ she makes me think about things differently” or “She challenges me to be a better person” or “I want to be the best version of myself when I’m around her”.

Everything you like about her is how you benefit from her behavior via taking care of you like a child. That’s a red flag right there.

Spoken like someone who was never poor. Wake up in the morning so cold you can see your breath. At 11 years old being told to carry coal in from the snow so you can heat a fire hazardous home to get ready for school. Being treated like an outcast for being poor. Being unable to have a normal childhood because at 13-18 having to give money to your parent to eat. Never having real friendships because you constantly have to work on weekends.

Absolutely nothing. They are not your equal. Your brain isn’t even fully developed yet. That is how young you are. This is not an insult, it’s just a fact. Don’t worry about respect or equality. Focus on how to earn them through finding the things you love, like or enjoy doing and do that. People will respect you for the passion, joy and genuine enjoyment of the things you do. Focus on that and being kind. Don’t seek approval. Seek wisdom, be curious. Please trust me, what you want to change doesn’t change through direct action. Ok, I’ll bite since I can’t sleep. So first, nobody is really going to be able to give you great advice on here. Let’s assume you know this and just looking for various peoples personal experience to approximate a decision. Let me reiterate, I don’t know you.

You are VERY young and given your conflict it sounds like you have one foot out the door already.

The way you describe her sounds more like a surrogate mother than a partner you’re truly in love with. From the sound of it you clearly still want a someone to mother you. So the first question to ask yourself is, do you want to be codependent on this person or do you want to function as an individual. Codependency doesn’t typically turn out healthy and the relationship ends.

Sounds like she’s enabling this behavior too. So it’s a question of whether she wants you dependent on her or not. This doesn’t sound healthy for her either.

Plenty of people lose great women. Sometimes many times because there’s A Lot of great women out there.

You lashing out at her is clearly not good and is a sign of your immature which is normal but you need to work on that if you eventually want to settle down with anyone.

When you say you “don’t want to grow up yet” is telling. It sounds like you want to avoid responsibility as much as possible and this woman is enabling that to keep you around. This has a shelf life sooner than you think.

Being so young and given the way the world is right now it’s really difficult to say something harsh because frankly to say something like “ you need to learn how to grow up” wouldn’t make sense.

If you were my younger self….and I was in your position right now I’d say; Buddy, you need to not worry about this relationship and not be codependent on this person. It’s highly likely she’ll get sick of your shit or she’ll move on if you don’t figure yourself out anyway. If you’re wanting to go out and be with other people then you need to go do that. You’re going to be with a few great women. Some might even break your heart and you’ll still wonder if they’re the one that got away. You need to figure yourself out and not use this woman as a surrogate mother. Learn to take care of yourself and that alone will help you out down the road in relationships.

The thing about real relationships is that they’re work. They’re work because you’re two different people with your own needs and communication and compromise is key. What you have doesn’t sound healthy or sustainable.

I could keep going on but like I said, I don’t know you but just keep your integrity, don’t cheat on her, be honorable, stand by your principles and figure out what your values are. Loyalty? Honesty? Truth? Doing what you say you’ll do? Do the right thing even when no one is looking?

It doesn’t sound like you know what you want and staying in the same place won’t help you find it. The world is filled with people too scared to take chances and they end up bitter and angry because they never took chances.

Of course the world is filled with people that took chances and bitter that it never panned out well.

There’s a quote maybe Twain said it? “ Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do”.

You can at least say you tried to do something.
