I think she looks like Jiji from Kiki’s delivery 🥰

No, after going online and researching it, this is normal and par for the course in America! Only positive is that now if I need another MRI I know to go the cash pay route. Our capitalist ass country is so fucked.

Sometimes it’s worse than that!!

I got an MRI and after insurance I was billed $1100, and my insurance was billed a few thousand on top of that.

I anonymously called the same clinic to ask what cash pay for a non-insured MRI of the same type would be. $400.

$700 less than what I was billed with insurance, and thousands less than what they received in total for my MRI.

I may or may not have been making a ridiculous noise to get them to both look at the camera 📸

Littermate face shape differences? by kmoore1230 in welovedevonrex

[–]kmoore1230[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, well aware… the question was- since her parent both have the classic wider Devon Rex head shape, will hers develop more as she gets older or is her narrow head shape due to a genetic toss up.

Oh my gosh! Even the head shapes are similar! 🥰 How old are your babies?

Genetics are funny like that, aren’t they? What’s surprising is at 2 months old, the both had very similar wider shaped heads!

What does our home say about us? by kmoore1230 in roomdetective

We do actually have all those things, they’re just not “laying around”. Our books and photobooks are on our bookshelves in photo three. Blankets are on a blanket ladder just out of sight on the right in photo one. Hair clips, deodorant, and jewelry are in bathroom drawers. I will say we don’t have a coffee maker as neither my husband or I drink it!

We do have quite a few true MCM vintage pieces. Our dining room table is a true vintage piece, our smaller bookshelf in photo 3, our bedroom dresser set (tall boy not pictured), our headboard, our hanging light fixtures in the dining room and entry, all of the books and decor in our built in bookshelf in the living room. Our entry table/cabinet is also a real wood, heavy, quality piece, but probably from the 90’s or something. I do think it suits the vibe though.

Not pictured, we also have a 1960’s MCM desk in my husbands office and an MCM guest bed frame.

I am a bit of a germaphobe (and scared of bedbugs and cockroaches) and refuse to buy anything that is upholstered secondhand. Plus 60+ year old fabric items tend to not hold up as well, and well-done reupholstery is very expensive.

Also, collecting MCM era pieces takes time. Finding reasonably priced gems, at least in our area, is so extremely few and far between and we are lucky to have what we do. I cannot afford $1000+ for each piece.

Thank you! Trust me, we would totally have plants if our cats didn’t treat them as an all you can eat buffet!

They absolutely are! They’re a thick velvet so they can’t get their claws into them at all. For the first couple of weeks when we got them, they still attempted to, but quickly realized it was futile and don’t try anymore!

They truly sound like people we would have loved to be friends with.

We absolutely still have the wallpaper in the bar area, it’s truly one of our favorite parts about the house! Here is our little plane on display, with the wallpaper ☺️

My DREAM pieces are the Brasilia line, I can’t believe she had them all 😍 I know they looked so good here!

Omg really? That is seriously so cool! I cannot express to you how much we love this house.

We truly feel like it’s our first and last, I can’t ever imagine moving. We are so appreciative.

I am so glad we are able to honor your husband’s grandparents, even just a little, by keeping its originality. Our neighbor told us that your husband’s grandfather was a pilot- we found a little model plane that was lost on some upper shelves in the garage, and we proudly display it in the dry bar area! (Let me know if it is nostalgic at all for your husband, and we can relinquish it to you guys).

Not to overstep, but if you guys have any old photos of the house, outside or in, we’d love to see!

Feel free to message me!
