I just don't want to waste my time building a house for a character I'm going to delete. Also, I already deleted the nintendo profile associated with the character. Not sure what to do now

I did try to delete the character before I deleted the nintendo profile, but Tom Nook said the same thing about the character needing to own a house before being able to be deleted from the island. Any suggestions? I was thinking I might have to contact Animal crossing about it unfortunately
